27 Food hacks that will change the way you eat

Some of these are not new, and at least one has been disproven.

I hate when things are referred to as "hacks" seemingly for no reason at all.

So I need 6 forks if I want a taco dinner gorge? The filling isn't the problem. It's moving onto the next one.

Solo says it's not by design, but someone tested them, and is does actually give you a pretty good estimate if you're free-pouring and care about proper serving sizes (which, if you're drinking wine and liquor out of a plastic cup, you probably don't).

If it's not by design, but actually works, I'd say that qualifies it as a valid "hack"...

Also, Solo has redesigned their cups recently and the new ones don't have the lines at all.

Mmm, hair and popcorn. What a great combination.

Maybe that's his popcorn eating hoody, in which case, I don't see how it's better than just going to Walmart and buying a bowl. Also, since that appears to be a workplace, it's most likely microwave popcorn, so just eat it out of the bag. There's plenty of room on the desk to his left.

Who gives a crap about measurements? You're not baking with them. Fill the cup with beer, whatever you want with wine and pour for five seconds with hard liquor.

I'm agreeing with WP.

Now would be a good time to anticipate the 3rd antichrist...

Most of these are dumb or not all that useful to anyone who eats actual food, but the trick of slicing small items between two tupperware lids is awesome. I recommend it.

Why would they do that?

That "hack", even if Solo had no intention of doing it, seems like they type of free word of mouth marketing most companies are dying to get.

I didn't even know about the lines until I read this thread. Was it really that big of a deal out there? The solo cups costco sells aren't even red...they're green and yellow and translucent.

That graphic started circulating last summer, and Solo had already launched their redesigned cups at that time.

After the original graphic came out, Solo posted this image on their Facebook page (spoiler for size):

Spoiler!

For whatever reason, they're obviously trying to distance themselves from being related solely to the consumption of alcohol.

^ Of course, by repeating the internet meme in the pic they manage to subversively re-emphasize it rather than distance themselves from it. But I'm sure the marketing guys didn't think of that...
