2019/20 PGA Tour thread
Seems appropriate to start this thread with Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin both T2 going into Sunday. Also 6 of the 7 Canadians making the new top 65 cut is the most Canadians to have made a cut in my memory.

They are paired together tomorrow. And I'm pretty sure TV will show none of their shots.

Yep, I bet we'll be in tough to see 10 shots combined from Hadwin and Taylor, unless they're literally in the lead or tied for it. But what a great tournament so far for the Canucks.
Will be glued tomorrow. Always love the California/Texas tournies with the later start times. It kind of runs smoothly between the late afternoon, early evening, instead of feeling like you have to stay in until 4pm to follow the weekend rounds, and therefore tournament.

As a quicker pace advocate it brings me great joy to see DeChambeau shoot a +4 today for 6 shots off the lead.
I especially loved watching him line up a 7 foot put for about 2 minutes, go to putt, suddenly back off because he felt something was wrong, then reline up, spend another 20 seconds figuring the line out again and then misreading by about 2 feet. Just excellent.

Roger Sloan sitting nicely at -8 as well. A good day could easily bring him a top 10.

On a Sunday I actually think Justin Thomas at -11 is a bigger threat to the Canadians than Champ at -14, but we'll see how it plays.

Conners just shooting up the leaderboard. Blazing so far with -7 through 12 holes. Cool to see the three Canadian flags in a row on the leaderboard.

Canadians seems to play better on the west coast.
Looking forward to watching the finish today.

Holy crap, now Roger Sloan is on fire, -4 through 5 holes, alone in second place!
4 Canadians in the top 7 has to be some kind of record on the final day. Conners will likely get passed a bunch but hopefully Sloan, Hadwin and Taylor can finish strong.

And Hadwin into the bunker 2nd shot on the easy 16th par 5. That was his chance to make a late move to force Champ. Oh well, he can easily lock up second if he saves par on this and plays the last two safe.

At the risk of stupidly posting with myself, lol, this is not over. Hadwin, huge birdie on 17 then Champ overshoots approach on 17 into the back thick cut. -15 Hadwin, -17 Champ. If he somehow bogeys this then 18 is really interesting.

Champ Bogeys. Champ up by one with one hole left. Hadwin's second shot on Par 5 18 comes up about 10 yards short of green, but can easily birdie and put HUGE pressure on Champ.

I'm watching, and got confused and thought that was Champ who hit in the rough off the 18th tee. Pretty great finish if Hadwin can get up and down.

Wow, don't look now, Champ is off the green with a tough chip to set up a birdie put. If he puts it outside 6 feet it'll be really tough. Hopefully the pressure gets to him!
Just give us a playoff, that's all I ask.

That was a touching finish. Without Hadwin I would have been cheering for Champ all the way.

It tough to hope against Champ and his grandpa.
solo 2nd gets Hadwin pretty close to top 50 in world rankings which would get him into most of the majors.

Great start to the year for a few Canadians though, especially Hadwin. I think he has what it takes to be a top 20 golfer, maybe this is the year he puts it together. A second place finish in your first start certainly doesn't hurt matters.

Yeah, it's always nice to get that win that kind of cements your year, but this is a dream start, either way. The announcer earlier put it perfectly, just no holes in his game. He also doesn't have any elite aspects to his game either. But I'd personally take the solid bag of tools over the one elite shot that can win you a tournament every few years only if the stars align.
