I ain't even mad. Overall that was a pretty great showing against the Cup champs, and it was nice to see the offence come alive. Dare I say the Flames looked dangerous tonight. Good night for the PP stats as well.

Unfortunately goaltending let us down in this one. I'm not gonna harp on Talbot too much though, as he's been pretty solid for us lately. He had a rough night and he clearly wasn't happy with himself at the end of the game. I'm confident he'll be much better in his next start.

Now please beat the Oilers tomorrow.

Zero sense. Always play your #1 on the first night of a back-to-back. Especially when it's against the defending champs and the best team in the West.
Tomorrows game is far more important in the standings

Miracle they got a point with that performance from Talbot, too bad after he had been so good lately.

The Good: Robinson played well, I think he can be an upgrade on Reider in the bottom 6.
I thought Mony and Johnny looked good tonight.

The bad: Cam Talbot. He was channeling his inner Oiler tonight. You could have rolled a beach ball by him and as soon as this game went to a SO I knew it was over.
Mangiapane: It is not so much he was bad as he is just not a top 6 guy. He reminds me of Czarnik without the wheels or even the shot Czarnik has. This team desperately desperately needs at least one top 6 winger and really two of them. I mean Buddy fn Robinson was playing with Gaudreau and Monahan and while he played ok that is a clear sign of how bad the RW is. This team could be dynamic with a top RW to play with those two. I am hoping we acquire two RW but we have to absolutely get at least one.

I hate blaming the goalie, but Talbot sucked tonight. Fun game otherwise, frustrating result. Johnny can't buy a goal. Tomorrow is huge

Wow, love the schedule this week. Blues come to cgy, then flames go upto Edmonton for the b2b.

Oilers have the same routine this Fri and sat.

Talbot with a really rough game. He's been very solid this year so hopefully this is just a small bump in the road. Glad BSD will be in the net tomorrow.

Buddy was good! I remember watching him in the pre-season and was very underwhelmed. But tonight he was skating well and was very noticeable. Hope to see him play tomorrow as well, I'd be very surprised if Ward scratches him.

Janko and Benny looked better tonight. Ditto for Johnny. The PP in OT was pretty sad, that was a gift, have to capitalize there. I liked a lot of what I saw tonight, they should win that game more often than not. Life goes on, looking forward to tomorrow.

You can’t blame 13, had a great game. Yeah it’s be nice if he scored but he looked more like himself than he has in months

Johnny didn't finish but he was actually playing with some hunger and that's when hes his best. When hes attacking and creating. Chances going in would have been nice but I like what I saw of him tonight.

i think Reider and Rinaldo can take a seat, in favor of Buddy.

I'll take it, just clean it up for next time.

Some positives to work with, at least.

Johnny gets 4 points, and media talks about his best game of the season.

Internet rando: "Jonny was horrible."

You’d usually be right but not when the starter went to the all-star game and didn’t really have a break or full practice since coming back.

It was the right call. Talbot just needed to hold up his end of the bargain.

Should have put Buddy in the net for the shootout. Couldn't have been any worse than Talbot.

Yeah, honestly. They played quite well given the opponent.

I don't know where all the negativity towards players not named Talbot is coming from?! Holy.... most of the skaters were anywhere between adequate and great.

It's a head scratcher that any one can be upset at Gaudreau. That's exactly how we've hoped for him to play all year. He delivers a pretty stunning game (and 2 points) and people are nitpicking defensive effort from that?

This one's on goaltending, full stop.

This is exactly the effort I want to see tomorrow. This ends very differently with a decent performance between the pipes.

Man, if folks aren't feeling some in relief and optimism from gaudreau's play tonight, I don't know what to say.
