Plus the Jankowski thing gets way over stated.

He's not impressive at all individually, he's not assertive, not aggressive at all, ... doesn't put pucks to the net ... pretty much just skates around four 8 minutes a night.

But his xGF% and CF% numbers are near the top of the team. Couple that with his success killing penalties and he's an NHL player.

Frustrating as hell to watch NHLer, but a player.

Size down the middle. I would say it's just Height down the middle. I think I heard mypillow.ca is ready to release the Jankowski model.

Flames are bad. Top players are having an off year. New coach bump is over. Too inconsistent. Stuck with the same underperforming core against good teams. Will be rusty after the long break. Trap game before playing the Oilers tomorrow.

Blues are good. Reigning cup champs. Great goaltending. Coming in angry after losing to Vancouver last night. Won't be rusty.

Predicting a 6-1 Flames victory. Backlund's line dominates against their bottom six. Janko with the hattrick.

I will donate $50 to CP if that happens

This team won't miss the playoffs. Only a fool would think so. They may not win any games in the playoffs but we aren't missing them. So 2-8!

You think if we win 8 of 10 this next stretch we are winning the cup with this team? haha. We would be lucky to win 1 game in the playoffs with this still buttercup line up.

You are driving down a narrow lane. Won't miss the playoffs and lucky to win 1 game?

I just hope they put in an honest effort tonight. If they lose, hopefully it's only by a goal.

We should learn a lot about the Flames in the next few weeks as after tonight the next 7 games are against teams that the Flames will be fighting for a playoff spot. I hope they either go on a run (preferably of course) or a slide so Treliving's to-do list at the trade deadline is clear one way or the other.

Are you kidding? I'm the exact opposite of what you typed. I've been saying from day 1 we are making the playoffs.

How's your 10 game winning streak posts every 2nd day going? Schtick is schtick haha

You mean the narrow lane of the 2018-2019 season? cuz that's what happened. Team isn't built to play in the playoffs right now.

Is anyone else as surprised as I am that David Perron is leading the Blues in goals and points?

Iginla in his prime.

This is the team that we always needed around him.

If this team had prime Iggy and Kipper, it wouldn't be a question of IF but HOW MANY!

Even if they go on a slide, by trade deadline, they're still going to be in the mix for a playoff spot. The central teams below the playoff bar aren't doing their part to tighten the gap from the Pacific currently in playoff spots.

It would take a complete bottom out kind of losing streak to have the team virtually out of the race with the Sharks/Ducks/Kings. I just can't see that happening within the next 30 days.

Am in a suite at the Dome tonight which is fun with all the free booze, but can be hard to focus on the game with all the annoying schmooze.

Hey I made a poem.

As am I. Its easy though. You can sit and watch the game or talk to people. Unless you are hosting.

This is always my finisher when Oiler fans brag about points/leading scorers ect.

"Flames don't even have a ppg player blah blah blah"

Guess who didn't have one ppg player last season? That's right the cup champs

If they go 2-8 over the next ten they they would need to go 16-6 over the final 22 games to have a good shot at making the playoffs, maybe 15-7 given how poor the Pacific is.

The only fool is the person who thinks finishing the season like that after a 2-8 slide is a guarantee.
