Default January 20, just two games.

There is a matinee on the Monday OOT because it is Martin Luther King day in the United States.
Both games are inter-conference so go Red Wings (unlikely to happen) and go Panthers.

Colorado being gifted Makar could go down as one of the greatest calamities in flames history. Local area kid who looks set to rip us up in multiple playoff series as a hated enemy over his career.

You make it sound like we passed on him. Not sure how it's a calamity in Flames history or how he was gifted to Colorado?

He was picked 4th, 1 ahead of Elias Pettersson.
Flames picked Valimaki at 16.

How do you mean gifted?

ETA: If you just look at rankings, Colorado made a pretty big gamble. I suppose it was because they were getting pretty fwd heavy and Makar, though the 9th ranked NA skater, was second highest D in the rankings behind Heiskenan, IIRC.

Yandle got a handle and scored his fifth goal of the season four minutes into the game, 1-0 Panthers.

This is not a headline game, however, the Panthers are now in a playoff spot and the Wild are seven points back of a playoff spot. It looks like Stalock is now the number one goalie for the Wild.

Special teams are helping the Wild stay in this game. They tied it up on the power play with 17 seconds left in the period. The Panthers took the lead with Barkov's goal until Kunin scored a shorthanded goal to tie it at 2-2.

Both teams score on the power play with the Panthers taking the lead and the Wild tying it. Kunin has scored to put the Wild ahead 4-3 now.

That was an entertaining game which was back and forth with the game being and ending in regulation time. Acciari scored the winning goal.

Makar isn't and shouldn't be a source of regret for Flames fan.

Just be glad that your hometown produced a truly elite talent.

It wasn't that pick though. Makar was drafted in 2017. The picks in the Duchene trade were 2018 and 2019. Makar was Av property before the trade in fact.
