Restaurants on the Edge is another restaurant rescue show. There is an episode about a restaurant in Tobermory, one of my favourite parts of Ontario, the Bruce Peninsula. If you like this type of show, they go to a lot of interesting locations.
Watching just for the scenery in Tobermory is worth it.
I watched the first episode (Muskoka) and it didn't quite pull me in. It seemed very formulaic and slow. But then I just tried to appreciate the scenery shots that are very well done, and also the local "travel" aspect, so I think that I'll give it another shot.
Between watching Evil Genius and Pandemic, this is just a bit of light fluff and that's perfectly OK right now.

It is very formulaic, I'm okay with that. I follow Dennis Prescott on Instagram, my gosh, his posts of food are to die for. I was more interested in them showing people, good things about the Bruce Peninsula.
Finished Tiger King in one day. How these people make millions off of endangered species is mind blowing. And how it's not illegal in the U.S equally so.
The cast of this docuseries are like the Avengers of all the other crazy docuseries Netflix has rolled out. Just crazy.
I'm still working my way through this series but it's definitely an eye opener. I'm really surprised in this day and age these exotic zoos are able to operate like that.

Me too- I found it all to be like an ad, for the decorators, private chef, Microbrewery etc. I like the Gordon Ramsey approach better I think, needs more drama!

I'm about halfway through and...I dont even know what to say. How do these people exist? Was this a mockumentary? How are there not people who show up in these people's lives regularly and just tell them how insane they are?

Oh. She totally did it. Watch how she looks at her current husband in every scene. That guy's days are numbered...

The second season of the podcast Over My Dead Body covers the story of Joe Exotic. The podcast has now been given its own title - Joe Exotic: Tiger King.
It's a great dive if you want to hear more of this crazy story.

The one that got me most was the Doc. Polygamist cult leader slaver. Euthanizing his cats after they cant be used for cuddles any longer. His whole gig is the worst shtick of them all.
Also, might be a tad jealous of the quality of his harem and concubines. /facepalm.
After him it is the tiger king himself the most egregious. Borderline child molester using meth as a lure. Funny thing was though, those boys used him as much as he used them. Both banging all the chicks at the zoo while supposedly gay.
And it was doubly sad to see him in those videos from way back when he started. Good intentions turned into a self righteous mess that lands him 22 years in jail. Crazy world.

Tiger King is bananas. I'd love to share a campfire and about nine dozen beer with that collection of misfits and just listen to them talk.
The only thing I think was missing from that documentary was a better dive into the finances. I have a sneaking suspicion there was likely some drug dealing involved in how these folks came by their money. You'll never convince me you can spend that much money per day on maintaining the animals and still make millions in a backwater animal park.
