I believe this was the single player version of Gwent that was supposed to be released. The first time I tried to play through the Witcher 3, I hated Gwent. The second time I tried, I loved Gwent and pre-ordered this new game as soon as it came out. I haven't played it but it sure looks like fun.
Is it playable without having played the first? I only got through a few hours of RDR1.
Looks good though, thinking of picking #2 up.
You can download the first one from the Xbox store and finish it first. I literally just completed it and hour ago. Was about 15 hours of gameplay for me to finish the story.
Amazing game and wanted to finish it before getting RDR2.

Haha no xbox but I still have my copy of the original for the PS3
One thing I really want to give credit to Odyssey for is nailing the time it takes to go through its day/night cycle. I'm not sure what the exact count is for it, but I feel like the pretty sunrises / sunsets last for a very long time comparatively to other games, and night lasts a lot longer too. That stuff usually goes by much too fast in games I've played (including RDR 2)
Something going down on the Undertale twitter account this morning. Supposedly tomorrow there will be something fans will interact with about a future project. Interesting!

I find myself constantly meditating to switch it back to night. After upgrading the assassin tree it doesn’t make sense to do any mission during the day. The nighttime is the right time!
I did what I always do with these games too and maxed out at 50 before reaching level 25 odyssey quests. Damn you side quests and your enticing allure of xp. Went with a hunter build and it’s not even fair, ghost arrow FTW.

When it comes to taking on forts totally agreed about night being right...and bonus points for the Adam Sandler 90s CD reference haha. Yeah I get too caught up in side missions too and level up too fast, thank jebus for enemy auto levelling.
As for this game, really enjoying it to the point where I've actually decided to put off RDR2 until I'm done Odyssey. Can't...stop...Spartan kicking people off mountains...
That's one of the downsides to Horizon Zero Dawn - there's pretty much no upside to doing anything at any time other than a clear sunny day. Weather / night don't seem to make things any more difficult for the bad guys, just makes it harder for the player to see.
