Are there fans sitting underneath the camera? I don’t see any fans on the visible three sides…

Wasn’t pretty, but got the job done. One more point gained by us or dropped by Pacific and we wrap up first place.

The only stand (besides the “supporters section”) is on the same side as the camera. That side is actually a decent seating arena. Just empty…

I sat in a sea of Airds. His whole extended family was out to cheer him on. We won, and beer is $5 before the game starts, so no complaints. It took me over an hour to get out there on transit. No real shock that team is struggling.

Just saw the highlight of a really bad clash of heads in the Forge Pacific game. Both players looked unconscious and there was a lengthy stoppage in play. Hope everyone is ok…

There it is, first place for Cavs! Helluva season considering the slow start and our early discussions of Tommy being close to the end of his rope. Full credit to Tommy! Now onto playoffs and the long wait for the Messi draw!

My expectations were admittedly super low after last season. We started brutal, transferred out one of our most dynamic players, and comfortably won the whole damn thing.

Yeah, does anywhere else in the CPL have grass, can't recall? MLS may sanction thet if he has to play against a Canadian team of any type, it's got to be here and on grass...

Congrats to the Cavs. Tommy and ownership should get a lot of credit for sticking with the medium and long term plan, as consistently off the field goes a long way in a transitional league such as this. Outside of the league office sponsored Forge, the stability off the field here since inauguration is the top of the league and it means a lot.

I find all this playoff nonsense confusing. So there's a regular season champion and a playoff champion. Which one is considered the most prestigious? As in which one is considered the actual champion?

To me, getting a birth in the Champions Cup is more exciting than winning the league title. In fact, wayyyyyyy more exciting. So damn proud of these boys.

I think in North America it’s always going to be the playoff champion that is considered the real champ.

The President’s Trophy should be more prestigious in the NHL but teams don’t play equally balanced schedules.

Have to say I didn't see Cavalry finishing first with what I thought was an underwhelming offseason and a slow start to the season. This team really turned it on when Shome and Montgomery got healthy and they deserve a lot of credit.

Now it's all about who finishes second and who comes to Spruce Meadows on the 14th. Cavalry haven't lost to Forge this year and only lost to Pacific on penalties in the cup. Personally I'd rather face Pacific as they have not been good the last couple months but I think we all know the championship goes through Forge at some point.

TBH, that's the way I'd prefer it to happen and this is the way it should be. Winning the North Star Cup with 1 or even 2 victories over the villianous Forgery would be much sweeter than it would be if it was Ottawa, Pacific or HFX.
