Anyway to praise a QB who actually has an NFL pass under his belt, that was a hell of a game from Browning. Still can't see the Bengals sneaking into the playoffs with the losses they have crippling them in tiebreakers, but if Browning balls out like this who knows?

No I totally mean it. I feel really bad for you and it's only a game. no need to die on a hill for some cdn qb. I still think he will get a chance to play though.
I'm really sorry for bringing up sewer water in Victoria after every disagreement.

Bertuzzied is making this thread unreadable. We get it already, you love Nathan Rourke. Let it go! No one cares. Please move on.

Well the real winners tonight are those who placed futures bets on the Texans to win the AFC South.
Cincinnati still has legit talent at the skill positions, so who knows maybe Browning can just be a poor man's Purdy.
NFL teams to this day still can't properly evaluate the position. I guess we'll find out if Browning is a flash in the pan or if he can defy odds and become a journeyman.

The AFC playoff race is going to be hard to watch. With Burrow, Watson, and now Lawrence down with injuries, there's lots of gaping holes in many of the contenders. Baltimore and Miami are ranked the highest, but does anyone have confidence in either of them. I would take the 6-6 Bills over either of them come January.
I do hope Buffalo somehow makes it into the playoffs, as there are far too many non-threatening teams that could make the dance that will make for bad playoff football. We've already been subjected to enough bad football this year.

I think it will be fascinating because it is a bunch of flawed teams and Buffalo trying to not beat themselves vying for the playoff spots now. Luke Wilson was kind of right when he said the Bills had the best week in the AFC this week. Them and Cincinnati probably had their fortunes turn the most you could argue. Many of their competitors suffered key injuries or losses this week.

Defense is non-existent in the AFC.

As far as points against goes, the AFC has 4 of the top 6 teams in the NFL.

Not taking anything away from Browning but that was a pretty ghastly game from a defensive standpoint for both teams. I'm sure coaching is a lot harder than it looks to fans but I didn't understand the Bengals playing so soft defensively on the last drive of regulation. The Jags had a rusty backup QB come into the game late and the Bengals defense basically rolled over and let Beathard complete uncontested, underneath passes all the way down the field to get into game tying FG position. Why not force him to actually make a few passes downfield rather than just give them all the easy completions? Why not go for the win rather than play for OT? They got the OT win so I suppose it worked out but that would have been pretty frustrating for a Bengals fan if they lost.

“At St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, N.Y., McDermott’s morning address began innocently enough,” Dunne writes. “He told the entire team they needed to come together. But then, sources on-hand say, he used a strange model: the terrorists on Sept. 11, 2001. He cited the hijackers as a group of people who were all able to get on the same page to orchestrate attacks to perfection. One by one, McDermott started asking specific players in the room questions. ‘What tactics do you think they used to come together?’ A young player tried to methodically answer. ‘What do you think their biggest obstacle was?’ A veteran answered, ‘TSA,’ which mercifully lightened the mood.”

Apparently he apologized to the team but good lord. How can he possibly stay on especially if the miss the playoffs.

"The terrorists found a way to work together to get the job done, so can we!" is certainly not the kind of motivational speech I would have expected.

Gotta watch to see if the Patriots can lose again while holding the opponent under 10 points. Let's go 3-2 final!
