I haven't seen Dopesick, but Chernobyl at least has some amazing heroic moments to celebrate, men who literally gave their lives to make sure something similar couldn't happen again. Any future rewatches though will probably have me skipping the firefighter hospital scenes, those are absolutely brutal

Dopesick has similar moments. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions though. The characters are so well developed and you cheer for them to overcome oxy but it goes doesn’t always go as you hoped.

Put it on the list to watch. It’s really well done.

I’ve watched Chernobyl twice and it was just as great and heartbreaking the second time.

That looks surprisingly good. The cameos will be a lot of fun.

Those of you who have Disney plus, is it worth getting?

One of my kids asked about it and I am not sure if it is worth it or not.

I will see what CP has to say then decide.

We have Netflix and Prime.

I think so. It's a fair bit cheaper than Netflix and their library is extensive.

How old are the kids?

If they are Disney cartoon age then yes
If they like the crappy Disney girl in high school shows then yes
If you or they like Star Wars or Marvel the new content is worth it
If they continue the straight to video of high quality stuff like Encanto and Turning Red then just for that it’s worth it.
There is also Starz which has a lot of random stuff on it.

Kids are 9 to 15.
Maybe a bit past cartoon age, but who doesn’t like a good cartoon? I still do!

Thanks for the information.

In terms of rankings for me right now,

I have Disney, Amazon, Netflix and Tubi.

I probably ranked Disney the highest because of the Star Wars and Marvel content, but there's a lot of other content as well.

I do rank Prime second, it just seems to have a solid content. But also a easier interface
Netflix is close, though I have trouble finding things to watch on it in terms of content, so I might dump Netflix

Tubi is kind of cool if I'm looking for vintage movies and weird movies

Don’t forget all the National Geographic content.

My kids are 10-16. Still watch Disney+. My wife and I are going through a lot of TV series on the Starz section. Disney+ is worth it.

I don't dislike Moon Knight, but it's certainly the slowest moving Marvel show yet.

The weekly trickle actually helps it in this case, I likely would have bailed if I were binge watching it.

Outer Range, on the other hand: every Friday I'm annoyed that I have to wait another week. At least it's two episodes at a time.

Edit: oops, meant to post this in the general TV watching thread

My kids are 11 and 14. I think currently we watch Disney+ the most, followed by Prime. Netflix seems to be used less and less these days.

Seeing as how Disney owns like 2/3rds of all of the World's Multimedia content its hard to go wrong.
