Another year, another bullet dodged by Saturday Night Live: Emmy-winning cast member Kate McKinnon has inked a new deal to return to NBC’s late-night institution for its upcoming 46th season, TVLine has learned.
In fact, sources confirm that, for the first time in recent memory, SNL‘s entire ensemble will remain in tact when the show returns (in studio vs. virtually) on Oct. 3.

She should be pushing on her popularity in movies and focusing on that. There's nothing more she can do on SNL.
I've always thought that SNL should really be like a finishing school for comedians and writers, you're there for a couple of years, you build your resume and experience and then they bring the next guy or girl in.

Near-term the movie industry has more risk. SNL has shown they can deliver their product even in a lock down environment. So could just be simply her delaying a jump to movies by a year due to all that.

I know he's a big name and all, but Carrey seems like an odd choice for Biden. Biden's style doesn't really match up with Carrey's usual manic approach.

Have you seen Kidding? That show is phenomenal and shows Carrey's breadth of acting.

Exhibit B: Man on the Moon.
I expect Carrey to nail the facial expressions and the down-hominess - even from that one clip - he's going to channel something. High expectations from me.

He would also seem to be an odd choice to impersonate Matthew Mcconaughey, but he nails it:
