That's because your Interac card is also your ATM card. You can withdraw cash from ATMs, you just can't make direct payments ("debit"). Personally, I would just withdraw cash as I need it (since I have a bank account that doesn't have fees for doing so - TD Select Service) or pay with credit. No need for travellers cheques or guessing how much money I'd need.
Any problems with cash withdrawals or credit payments are usually because of anti-fraud measures. If you're worried, call you bank / credit-card provider and let them know you'll be travelling.

Blue Man is the best.
Last time down with work, 6 of us went to the indoor skydiving...it was a blast! (do not go drunk or you'll blow chunks)

Stay on the strip. I stayed at the Golden Nugget, and while Fremont is worth a visit, the strip is where it's at. Pool and water slide at the Nugget was awesome
Visit Heart Attack Grill on Fremont. Food is mediocre at best, but the nurse theme is fun. The nurses will pose with you for a photo too.

On the contrary... I just got back from Vegas at TI and my next trip I want to stay in Freemont street. Looking at the D

If you're going to see O at the Bellagio, I highly recommend sitting in the first five rows. There's a good chance you'll get to be part of the show and you'll further appreciate the athleticism of the performers. Keep in mind, you might get a little wet, but it's not like the splash zone at the Blue Man Group.

If you are going to see Zumanity at NY NY, I DO NOT recommend sitting in the first few rows. Getting fondled by a transvestite on stage has likely traumatized me for life.

Can anyone recommend the best pools to visit? I talked to Belagio they said I can pay 10 bucks to spend a day at their pool, I figured other places have the same thing going on.

Why not just try the hotel you're staying at? Or are you just sleeping in your car, big guy?

Tao Beach was alright the last time I was there for a bachelor party.
The Hard Rock looks like it has a really awesome pool, but I haven't been, and it's a little off the strip.

Flamingo. Kind of crappy hotel but absolutely awesome pool. And cheap ($4ish) 16 ounce beer cans you can drink in the pool all day long.

My friend wants to do rafting and a gold mine tour. Is this totally asinine in 44c? Or is it cooler within the canyons where the rafting would be?

Everything but sitting in an air conditioned casino with a yard of something frozen and alcoholic is assinine in 44c.
