There's a neighborhood called South Calgary? How do you provide directions to people when you tell them you live in South Calgary?
It's the area just south of Bankview, and north of Altadore. Yeah, dumb name for a neighbourhood. Probably a relic from when Calgary was pretty much a village.
Segregated bathrooms is clearly the only solution here. Maybe a porta-potty outside.
That's a total Sliver move. I approve.
I used to have a place with a garage where me and my two neighbours would work on our cars all the time. In the winter, pissing was a hassle, as my mom lived in my walkout basement, so using the man door to take a leak in the back yard was faux pas. Opening the overhead door would let out all the heat, so that sucked, too. I devised a plan to install a urinal that emptied into the alley, but I moved before getting around to installing it.
I tried to explain to my friends that there's this guy on the internet that would have totally loved the idea, but they didn't get "Sliver".

I live in "South Calgary", and you're right it's confusing so I say Marda Loop for anyone asking.
I feel as if this list is somewhat tailored to hipsters. Lower/Medium income yet trendy neighborhoods like Bowness/Montgomery etc. all get these great scores then Bel Aire is in last place with an average home price of $1.6 million

Lowest ranked neighborhood in Calgary is Bel-Aire. Makes sense......
The neighbourhood is quiet. There is no cut-through traffic and very few cars parked on the streets. It also happens to be beautiful, featuring large lots with expensive homes that owners clearly take pride in maintaining. The Starnes Group currently shares top billing for the number of sales of homes in Bel-Aire with a value over $2 million over the last 15 years, and Starnes notes that buyers value the mature landscaping and huge yards.
sounds dreadful!

I'm just stunned that my neighbourhood gets 21 parks and green space points, whereas other places get 30-40 points seemingly out of nowhere. I mean our community isn't in an actual park, but it's hard to fathom how it could be any closer!
I know a guy who lived there with his auntie and uncle there for a while. Said it was quite different from where he was originally from.
It's a gorgeous, high end neighborhood in an excellent location. Any kind of list has some subjectivity to it which will create some fun debate, but to have Bel-Aire as the last ranking neighborhood and Forest Lawn as #17 makes this particular list invalid. Almost farcical.
I love my community; It's central, has good access to transit, is very close to Stanley Park, easy access to 4th street, a ~8 minute bike ride to the core.
Rank: not even in the top 150.
Are you my neighbour??

I like how my neighbourhood (Montgomery) has an extremely low "park and green space score", despite the fact that literally half of the total area is taken up by Shouldice Park. Also, apparently, the "path access" score is really bad, despite the fact that the river path obviously runs right through it, and it's connected to Dale Hodges park (in addition to Shouldice obviously).
I mean, there isn't even an effort to make this make any sense.

Speaking of bidets, we had some work done in our house over the weekend (doors and windows installed). The workers had to use the bathroom, which you'd expect and obviously isn't an issue whatsoever. My wife suspects one of the guys - who was in there for ~20 minutes - used the bidet. I don't know what this suspicion was based on, but I took her at her word.
What is the etiquette of using a bidet at somebody else's house? Seems a bit much.
Am I missing an issue here? Isn't a bidet something that sprays water up your corn hole? Do you have a model that requires insertion? If not, what's the big deal/

I think "it's Silver" is probably what you're missing here.

Look the best neighborhoods are the most expensive. You could rank it by average home value or something so they need to do something different. Otherwise they'd just point you MLS.
