I remember seeing posts here of someone from Flames PR tweeting answers to these questions. Said retro wont be full time next season “these things take time”.

The outdoor game should see both teams wear their former Atlanta threads.

Pretty sure Ryan Popowich from the Flames front office confirmed full time home retros next season on Twitter back in the spring

He did not. I posted all relevant tweets above. Also, he works in public relations, not management.

Not if you want to sell jerseys and merchandise. Nobody in Atlanta is watching.

I’m in Calgary and I’d buy one.

Maybe the NHL can settle on both teams wearing Atlanta Jerseys for warm-ups, and auction them off for charity, perhaps youth hockey in Atlanta. Would be a good way to give a nod to Atlanta without going all in on it.

They should rock the flaming A from time to time anyway - it's both historical and the team plays in Alberta.
From a Winnipeg side, I Grant you it makes no sense. Regardless it's always fun to twist the knife in Georgia's back.

Yeah, I think the Flaming A on a jersey would sell well here. The Thrashers, not so much.
I still think they should have renamed the team The Threshers when they moved to Winnipeg.

I’m all for this. Hell, even if you only wear it once - now that we have the foundation of the retros, I hope the Flames explore more ideas for alternates and special event jerseys.

Would fit right in as shoulder patches on a new black horse head jersey.

I think the people that like the "Blasty" jerseys are the same people that like the Star Wars prequels. Just because you grew up during that era doesn't mean it's good.

Celebrated Square Root Day
|
I'm still pissed that a bunch of younger fans came along and gave a new name to the "horse head" or "snot nose" jersey. Where the **** did this "old blasty" come from? That was never a thing back in the day. Never. It sounds stupid and it was never used at the time, therefore get off my lawn!

Pretty sure it was the Flames own press release that referred to it as Old Blasty.

I grew up during the "golden era" (Mullen, Gilmour, Roberts, Nieuwendyk, Otto, Loob, Lanny, etc). And I like the "Blasty" jersey more now than I did when it first came out. I would fully support a set of 80's style home/away jerseys with a revamped "Blasty" as the third.
(For the record, I do not like the current home and aways with the shoulder flags, and I think the "Calgary" word-mark jersey is absolutely awful. Oh, and I also don't care a lick about Star Wars...)
