We're getting real close to seeing if all the moves Tre made this offseason is going to pay off. I haven't been this excited since the start of the 15-16 season after the playoff run, lets hope it turns out to be a better ending.

I wonder if the Flames consider taking the two way contract veterans as their two extra forwards and one defenseman?
25 yo Alan Quine 84 NHL Games
25 yo Tyler Graovac 62 NHL Games
25 yo Yasin Ehliz 0 NHL Games
26 yo Buddy Robinson 7 NHL Games
29 yo Anthony Peluso 144 NHL Games

I can’t wait to get on the ice. It’s time to go. It’s been a long summer. We sit here and we talk and we talk and we talk. Let’s get on the ice. Let’s get to work.
I hear that. Is anyone else pretty disappointed by the Flames' non-participation in the Penticton event this year? It's always such a good fix for the hockey cravings that you get in the late summer.

It sounds more to me like they want Monahan to get some more strength in his wrist before the season starts.
Yeah with Mony finally feeling 100% let him get back up to speed. Make sure everything is good to go for the season. No point in him jamming his wrist in some meaning less games.

The prospect game on Sunday is $5, local and being streamed online as well.
That one quote makes it sound like he wants Neal to take draws
It was definitely worded a little strange, I would think they just want him to build up a little strength in his wrist and they will also try Neal on the top line. Don’t see him taking any draws he lost the only 2 he took last year.

I already love Peters’s willingness to try Tkachuk on the top line, something the previous coaching staff would not even attempt. Obviously he has more forward depth, but the fact Tkachuk wasn’t even given an opportunity on that line after Ferland clear drop off in play and Monahans injuries was just flat out dumb. Keeping arguably our second best playmaker on the shutdown line when the top line was clearly struggling pissed me off. Having a line with 3 high IQ highly skilled players like Gaudreau, Mony, and Tkachuk, could be so dominant and I believe Tkachuk got one shift with them at even strength all last year. Thank god GG and co. are gone.
