Bunch of guys wishing they took the payout on their Vegas cup betting slips when they had the chance. All the talk of odds and riches and all for not.

Gotta love that Sbisa is the player with brutal turnover for the Stanley Cup winning goal:

SERIOUSLY?!

We're ending the Stanley Cup broadcast with a garbage McDavid interview?!?!

You guys are crazy. I’d much prefer to see the owner receive the cup in the dressing room as presented by the head of PR for General Motors. Or the owner receive the trophy on an elevated stage while the players look on jealously from down below.

This whole idea of the guys who actually won the thing getting the cup is a bit cliched for me.

Yeah - I don’t mind showing some Humboldt love at the end of the playoffs, but the awkward McDavid interview is the worst possible way to do it. And you know they did it just to force feed more McDavid.

It would almost be forgivable if he didn't have the eloquence of someone who sounded like they'd just been kicked by a horse.

But he doesn't.

He was drafted by Edmonton. Pretty sure he was kicked by a horse, not just sounding like he was. See his face at the lottery? It was the worst day of his life.

Watching Ovi finally get that cup was surreal. Even beat the Penguins in the process.

If watching that didn’t put a smile on your face, you’re an evil person.

Feels like a mirror universe thing. Ovechkin sets up the winning goal to beat the Pens, Caps go on to win the Cup on the road. Captain wins MVP.

Terrible sequence - not just turnover, but then not following his man to the net.

I'll admit I didn't watch Vegas intensely this season until this playoffs, but the individual players that I was more familiar with looked exactly like the players from the past seasons. I never watched their new breakthrough stars play before this year, but I wonder if they were truly unappreciated on their prior teams, or if they actually changed their play. Because individually, the guys I know were exactly what I was expecting, just playing the game to their strengths.

Can't help to think that Vegas is going to come down crashing and burning next year.

The way Washington exposed them in the finals, the Cinderella story is now over and it's should be almost impossible for all the guys who had career years to repeat their performance next year...
