I'm a grown man, and I had to wipe away tears watching Ovi's reaction. I love this game.

I was actually torn, I wanted to see Fleury win but Ovechkin toiled for so long without a Cup he deserved to win. I would have been happy either way.
As for Bettman I've seen enough of this guy to last a lifetime.

The idea of an expansion team winning the cup was just so, so wrong.
This is so, so right.
Just like the smiting of the 2011 Canucks, the Hockey Gods got this one right.

Amazing
Bettman walks out.
Crowd: Boo
Bettman: “once again, you prove this is a NHL city”
Two sure things in life once the season ends.
Bettman is booed
Cup is awarded

#### YEAH OV!!!!! Wooooo!!!! What a game, what a series, what a celebration! Goosebumps!! Seeing OV celebrate like this has to bring out the kid in every single hockey fan. Extremely emotional interview by Oshie. Congrats to Leonsis, Trotz and Caps fans who have lived the highs and lows for 40+ years!!

I was 14 when the Flames won it. It was incredible, but man, it feels like a century ago. I really hope I get to see them hoist it at least once more in my lifetime.

I'm beginning to wonder what it's going to take for any Canadian team to win the cup.

An owner and GM that are actually patient and dont overreact to the year to year overreactions of the fan base.
Based on that alone Winnipeg is the best positioned to do so...if the owner will let them spend to the cap.

How is this possible? Either you are 37 now, or you were 7 when the Flames won the Cup?

21 years ago, 32 year-old Steve Yzerman played his 1000th NHL game with the Red Wings in his 14th season. At the time, many of the so-called experts questioned if he would ever get his chance to win the Cup or if he was even a Championship calibre captain.
Then, later that season, the Wings won the Cup and no one ever questioned Yzerman again. He went on to play another 500+ games and won the Cup two more times.
This year, 32 year-old Alex Ovechkin played his 1000th NHL game in his 13th season. People have questioned if he'd ever get a chance at the Cup or if he was a Championship calibre captain.
Now, Ovi is a Stanley Cup champ. How many more does he have in his future?

First time that the Golden Knights lost 4 in a row is pretty impressive for them, quite a run.
Grats to Ovi.... Ovirdue... I'll let myself out.

Look at some photos or video, makes it seem even more like a lifetime ago.

Easily. The war that teams have to go through to get it, the total team effort, the beauty of the Cup itself and your name carved into it for decades.
The Stanley Cup is the ultimate prize.
