Exclamation [Video] Tkachuk 17/18 Highlights - Part 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpPNJ8p_5ZU

Seriously, what a stud and franchise player going forward. Favourite play from this video is maybe his entire game in NYI, or his entire game in EDM, or his ridiculous tip at home vs BUF.

2017-2018 Stats:
In 68 games: 24 goals + 25 assists = 49 points.

Videos Completed This Summer:
Monahan is up next. I'll still do Dougie and Ferly videos, but save those for the end now.

Hell of a player. His hands around the net are just insane. Elite puck protection. Great vision, passing and finishing. One of our most dangerous players already in his 2nd year.

We see the potential of a Bennett-Jankowski-Tkachuk line on that goal against NSH. Would not mind seeing that as a line to start the season.

Well done as always AC.

Tkachuk has such amazing lower body strength, I mean this is known but wow does it just pop out in both vids. His awareness and composure is also way beyond his years. Hope his contract is for 8 years

Great work AC - I could watch that all day and not get bored.

What a player! Plays for keeps and doesn't give up on a single play. Cant wait to see how he's utilized next year!

Makes Bergeron and Malkin look bad on a couple plays in this video. Wow.

keith tkachuk on spittin chiclets day before the draft, good insights on matthew.

essentially says that brady is the better natural player but matt has better anticipation.
calls matthew "a work in progress" but later says that matt is like a coach, and very scholarly about the game.
also calls pronger "a prick in on the ice and in real life, if i'm being honest."

great listen

You know, watching that video gives a sense of why Monahan is such an unsexy player. The puck is on and off of his stick so quickly that it is hard to see when he shoots it.

I love this player and hearing what Keith says makes you wonder if going after Brady wouldn't give Calgary the most awesome brother combination of all time. Likely won't ever happen, but the thought is nice. Another great job, thanks AC!

How intriguing is it that all three of the American-born drafted Tkachuk's were selected by Canadian teams?

*EDIT* Here is K. Tkachuk's direct quote when comparing his sons:

Quote:

I hate to say this but he is definitely tougher than his brother. They both have good hands, but Matthew has that savviness with the puck I think—with the patience and the sense that he's a playmaker; he's going to guess right; he anticipates. I think that Brady's learning that right now, but they both took different routes obviously, and Brady was one of the youngest guys in college hockey this year—it's an older league, so it took him a while to adjust to the strength of the game. I think they both have that competitive edge and the will to win and that's what I like most in their games."

Watching Tkachuk's highlights reminds me of Gaudreau's highlights in his rookie year. Lots of great plays that just didn't result in a goal. I'm thinking there's gonna be huge increase in Tkachuk's point totals this year.

His tip-in on the shot that was heading 4 feet wide was just sick.
