Hope Smith just tweaked something. Let Rittich get a couple of games and then evaluate the situation from there.

Last thing I have to say tonight, I hope Mike Smith is ok. I’m really happy for him fighting through the demons he’s faced this season.

What happened to Smith? Sounds like he had a great game. Would be a shame for him to get injured again.

Backlund does a great interview. He is heating up and I am so glad for him. Thank god we were patient with him.

He also went behind the net to stop a puck and tried for the empty-netter without missing a beat. I think he's ok. Probably just pulled something.
Rittich will get the start tomorrow against Jersey and then they don't play again until Saturday, so hopefully he'll be good to go by then. If he pulled something, I'd even start Rittich on Saturday as well just to give Smith some extra healing time.

Stretched out to make a huge save near the end of the game and looked hurt. Hope he's ok, but I'm holding my breath.

How crazy is that?
Same time of year. Same team. Possibly the same injury, also occurring at the same time in the game—a game which the Flames won both times.
This is the weirdest incident of deja vu ever.
