XBOX 360 EASHL Dedicated 6-Person Crew (Any Experienced Goalies?)
Anyone interested in a 6-person dedicated EASHL crew? I'm tired of playing with random teammates, and I'd like to really give this thing a shot.
I'm talking about being competitive and progressing through the ranks. Pro, Elite, etc. I'm also talking about legitimate, systems-based hockey. We pick the systems we feel comfortable with and practice them (using the Practice mode in the game). I'm also talking about being able to recognize and adapt to opposition systems on the fly... Essentially, I'm just interested in forming an actual team and seeing how we do.
Naturally, the people will have to actually be good at the game. Not good in the sense that they can go end-to-end and score at will, but good in the sense that they understand the team game and how to play within a system. I'm no all-star player myself, but I find I have my best games when I'm playing with other people who play their positions and types well. It's a lot easier for my LW playmaker to rack up the assist totals when the C I'm playing with is going hard to the net, instead of trying to race me for the puck on the left side boards and deking around everyone before getting hammered to the ice by a defender.
Anyway, this isn't a rant thread... Is anyone interested in giving this a shot?

Why not just play on the EASHL team so that you aren't stuck playing with the morons in drop-in, and then just play 6v6 when you have enough members online. This is what we do on the PS3 club.

I actually left the CP club a couple days ago. I haven't played a game with any club members for weeks. I think I even saw a tumbleweed blow through my living room the last time I looked to see if anyone wanted to play.
I was getting hammered with club invites from the random people I played with in drop-in games. I finally took one of them up on it. These guys are good, and they're pretty committed to winning (which is awesome). The only downside is that they already have a Legendary 1 and 2 at C and LW, respectively, and a Superstar 3 (same rank as me) at RW with established seniority. This means that whenever we're playing a ranked game, I get relegated to LD. It's not that I don't like playing D (I actually enjoy it), I'm just good enough at it to feel comfortable playing it at that level.
Anyway, back on topic, I imagine it's going to be tough to get a Goalie... I'm going to start leveling mine up just in case.
Also, one other caveat... I want to use the Philly jerseys. I hope that's ok with people. I just happen to really like them.

No worries, I'll toss you an invite - just accept it when you're back and ready to go. What's your player's name again?

OK, I've created the club and I'll start sending out invites. For now, I'm moving ahead with using the Flyers jerseys (Calgary Flyers is the name of the club). Once the team members are established, we can have a quick discussion about the name and jerseys. I have no problem dumping the Flyers motif if people want to use different jerseys or whatever.
Let me know your gamer tag and the name of your player, as well as preferred position and style. I'll stick the roster up in the first post, and update as people respond. Positions aren't set in stone, the important thing is that we get six people committed. We can work out positions etc after that.
Tag: rollbomb
Name: Peter Forsberg
Position: C
Style: Two-Way Forward
Once we get all six people, we'll decide on our systems and then make the appropriate changes. Like maybe we need a power forward in the middle, in which case I would change my player's style and beef up my checking and strength, etc. For now, though, just put down your current details.
