Call by-laws on them. I have no patience for that either. If you have one of these, it's part of the deal that you have to store it somewhere that isn't on the street.

They have 36 hours to move it for at least 48 hours.

And before the "just talk to your neighbour" crowd comes in...nah. No point in straining and already strained relationship with someone when you've invested in a 1/2 million+ property. I'm not feeling uncomfortable mowing my lawn because I got into an argument with a lazy, selfish neighbour.

Another neighbor must have called 311 on them, as I saw a Park+ car parked outside this morning. Hoping they got a ticket, not just a warning.

And, I'm with you. I'm done having "the talk" with these bozos. I have talked to them about their cat which they leave outside for days on end, with no results.
They are so entitled, they also think their dog is so well-behaved he doesn't need a leash.

It was glorious the other day, seeing literally every person on our street moved their cars off the road in preparation for street cleaning.

Then one f-cking bozo across the street from us parks his VW estate in front of his house. And by the afternoon, the street was clean except for the nice patch of rocks under his car and only his car. You can even see the line the street cleaner took around exactly his car.

"Sure, I'll take a drill press and $150. What, you mean you want me to give you money for it? The way you asked, it sounded like I'd be doing you a favour by taking it off your hands, having two seems unnecessary."

GMG that street sweeping was in our neighborhood last week and now the heavy rain yesterday has washed gravel and debris onto the roads again, it's like they were never swept at all.

If it’s unattached call bylaw immediately. Almost all municipalities have no tolerance for those.

I didn't know this.
It is attached to their truck, but it's been there since Sunday. They've must have gotten off with a warning by park+

Random street sweeping.

We had our street swept a couple of weeks ago. All done, clean as a whistle.

Well today I guess they're doing it again. There were signs up, but not on our street. Last year they missed a couple of streets so I figured it was the same this year. Coming back to get what they missed. Nope whole community again. We had both vehicles on the street as of 830am. It wasn't until I was taking to little dude to daycare that I realized what was going on so we scrambled to move the vehicles.

I get it as a homeowner in the city it's our responsibility blah blah blah, but what the actual heck. Why are they doing it again?

I don't know if there is avenues to fight these types of tickets but if we get 2 of them, imma gonna fight em.

You won't see tickets on the cars as they will be sent in the mail. They all get ticketed as the parking patrol hits the streets just ahead of the sweepers.

The city not spraying for dandelions is ridiculous. The green space by my house is unusable now. No kids soccer. No nothing. Brutal.

You can run on dandelions.

Sounds crazy, I know. But it’s true.

Yah they can. Good call. They aren’t though. As I wouldn’t if I was a kid.

Not really. It’s actually mayhem. The momentum of the ball dies really fast and it’s really easy to trip on the jungle of weeds.

As long as the club running the field mows on a reasonable basis dandelions are not a problem. Most of the fields are maintained and operated by CMSA clubs.

Then I’d go back to no big deal kids can run and kick a ball around on dandilioms.

It’s super thick by my place. You couldn’t get the ball to roll more than 10 feet.

That’s enough for a kid. What, they need a Messi header from 30 feet out?

The best part of this thread is immediately being called out on a GG and then others argue it out. Best thread on the site.
