Right? At what point did anyone in this thread imply that women don't have libidos or "carnal desires" (lol, carnal desires.).

I prefer not to have my ass slapped on the bus. This is not synonymous with having no desire for men.

The line is thinner than most would believe for women however, everytime some weirdo goes over the line it can have the effect of pushing it back further as well.

Speaking of off putting and creepy I would much rather have someone comment on the smell of my hair than look at your ####ing avatar.

How dare you suggest that a woman’s aversion to unwanted sexual advances is anything but repressive and dismissive of her sexual being!

We’re all sexual beings, so if I want to tell my boss his bum looks great in those pants, it’s my god given right not to be criticised for it!

From my observations, the people who espouse overly broad definitions of harassment aren't anti-social. They're just not thinking enough (or thinking well enough) to understand the implications of what they are advocating.

So where do places like The Shark Club fit into this discussion? It is absolutely promoting the objectification and sexualization of women. This in no way entitles anyone to play grab ass with the servers or make inappropriate remarks. If someone is there and does they best to maintain eye contact during interactions with the servers what is the harm in watching a nice bum after it walks away in a skirt clearly intended to draw attention to that specific feature.

I understand the issue with staring in public and how someones attire does not give anyone the right to do, say or act in a harassing manner.

Wait that’s not Kevin Sorbo?

And to your point Boblobla I’d say don’t go to those places. I can’t understand how anyone sits in one of them and doesn’t feel like the skeeviest creeper that ever owned a windowless van.

Huh. I'm sensing an inconsistency between bolded part B and part A..

I'd say perhaps you can round up all your pervy friends and congregate at Shark Club and Hooters for your future nights out where creepy staring at said "nice bums" and such commentary is more or less expected, even accepted.

There is definitely a strong David St. Hubbens vibe.

You can’t really complain that the waitresses at Shark Club are being objectified when they go to work every day with the expectation that their customers will objectify them and hand over more money based on their looks.

It’s a case of people deciding that more cash in their pocket is worth being ogled. Leacherous comments and unwanted contact is unacceptable , but complaining that a man is staring at a woman who is trying to make him stare is a bit silly.

So there is no difference between the two? Someone staring at a coworker or a random person walking down the street and someone looking at the butt of their scantly clad server?

I think I am distracting from what is supposed to be being discussed here so I will stop asking questions. Not looking to trigger anyone, just trying to understand.

Here's a question for you guys to ponder.

If you go to a bar, restaurant, massage, flight attendant, dental hygienist...
And it's a man, are you disappointed?
