What lens did you have implanted?
I was very near-sighted and went with a lens that improved my mid to long distance vision but now can't see anything close without readers.

6 weeks is about the time when you can properly judge the vision.
I have no idea what your prescription was before or after the procedure, but if your prescription changed from nearsighted to slightly farsighted it would create a long adjustment period.

I have Symfony lenses in both eyes. Second eye was done March 15, first about 10 days prior.

Personally, I do not eat expired food.

But you eat expired contact lenses?

Cool, I got the same lenses. Unfortunetly you have to choose your in focus distances. You can have close and mid range or mid and long range but they can't give you the full range. I can see everything from arms reach and out now.

Couple quick questions:
1) Do the "digital protection" glasses actually work in protecting your eyes when using computer/laptop/smartphones, etc (brand like Gunnar Optics, for example) - if so, do you have brands you recommend?
2) Previously had epilasik corrective surgery. Eyes still tend to be dry and sensitive to light (honestly had it to some degree beforehand). Have heard rumblings that can get expensive sunglasses (i.e. Oakley) covered by health insurance even if don't necessarily need prescription lens. Is this accurate or dodgy business?

Does touching poo then touching your eye mean you will get pink eye, or does there have to be some sort of pink eye bacteria in the poo?

Totally hypothetical question, right? Or asking for a friend?

No reason.
Thanks for the answer, Hes. Also, Fecal Coliform is my new band name.

Bump.
Is it normal for glasses to have barrel distortion at the edges? I.e. for vertical lines to look curved in or out when looking at them not directly on? I am nearsighted, -1.75 to -3.00 (also astigmatism).
Also looking at getting progressives for the first time, I assume the difference between cheap and expensive magnifies (heh) with more complex lenses...
Varilux seems to be popular, but Costco has "Accolade Freedom 3.0 HD" which seem to be similar technology? Anyone have any experience with that Costco lens? Or recommend a place to get Varilux that doesn't charge an outrageous amount?
TIA

I just got the varilux x lens. Huge improvement over my last lenses, which I got in 2016. A bit pricey. $810 for the lenses.

Wow, so expensive. But I guess for something you use all day every day one shouldn't cheap out.

Can laser eye surgery correct presbyopia? I’m not there yet but would like to be prepared.

The distortion is caused by a combination of your Astigmatism and the need for Progressives.
There is a huge range in quality with progressives from online/low end optical all the way to high end Nikon/Zeiss lenses.
The more expensive lenses have wider fields of view in them and are typically easier to adapt to.
You also have to customize based on need. If you are on a screen 10 hours per day you need make sure you have a lens with a wider intermediate range. Alternatively, you can go with an office lens where the intermediate (computer) zone is now at the top of the lens and you go with a separate pair for distance vision.
Like most things there is a definitely a "get what you pay for" regarding lenses. Personally, I would never go with anything but Zeiss and Nikon.

No. Laser is reshaping your cornea. Presbyopia is caused by your lens of the eye losing its elasticity.
Options to be glasses free:
1) stop aging
2) Multi focal Contact lenses
3) Multi focal Clear Lens Exchange (essentially Cataract surgery before you have Cataracts).
4) Monovision - One eye near and one eye for far (Contacts or Laser)
