Isles are sneaky tough to beat. Really strong defense and goaltending will take you far in the playoffs. I smell an upset. Isles in 6.

There's something about the Islanders. I could see this one going 7 games but I will go with the Capitals.

Capitals in 4. Islanders have had a good run for Ovechkin will be too difficult to handle in this series.

Caps are my team in the east, and they still look strong as ever. Caps in 5.

Caps are an older team that has played a lot of playoff games in the last few years - is there a team in the NHL that will have benefited more than them from this break?
Like all the round robin teams, they will be challenged to get up to speed quickly against an opponent that already is, but beyond that, the Caps are really well positioned from the break.

Regular-season series: Islanders won 2-1-0 (Capitals 1-2-0)
Games were on Dec. 31, Jan. 18, and Feb. 10
This will be the eighth time these two teams meet in the playoffs. The Capitals won the last series in a 7 game thriller five years ago.

Think the Capitals win but could see Barry Trotz being an x-factor here.
Does he know something about shutting down the Capitals from his time as coach there, wouldn't be surprised if he had a good game plan here.

Islanders have been the way better team this game, but two really bad penalty calls lead to two Washington PP goals. Feel bad for the Islanders.

Off-topic but good thing Garnet Hathaway (ex-Flame) gets to play and avenge series loss to Semyon Varlamov (ex-Av). In the same round, too.

Eberle has seemed to regain his clutch world juniors type performances in big games now that the Oiler stink is long gone. In his one run with the Oilers he had 2pts in 13 games and he hasn’t completed his 13th game with the Islanders yet and he has 13pts in those games.

What's with the audio running in reverse at times during this game? Are they doing that when the players swear?

4-2 Isles.
Nice passing in tight off the rebound to find Beauvillier.
