The momentum from the play in rounds, and the round robin, definitely seems to be making a difference. Although Vrana had a breakaway right before that goal and if he buries that, the narrative is entirely different.

That's crazy, I thought Washington was going to do alot better than this. Give the Isles full credit though

Lou maybe makes some odd choices, but paying Trotz and bringing him over is paying off. Seems like he's having a bigger impact on the team for his salary than Tavares would have for double that.

Isles just smothering the life out of the Caps again.

Hang on for the last 1 minutes and they move on.

Kovalchuk has 0 pts in the playoffs....Caps gave up a 3rd for him.

That may be a team looking to shake things up much like the Flames...might be good trading partners?

I posted a while back in the trade spec thread that maybe something around Gaudreau for Wilson might make sense if both team are looking to shake it up without blowing it up.

My heart and brain both say the caps should add, but who knows.

What a deal that would be. Would love to have Wilson on this team. Don't think Washington will move him though they'd be dumb to.

No idea what the GM thinks of Kuznetsov, but their fans have been down on him all year

Kuznetsov's GAF level is really low apparently.

He just don't GAF.

Love seeing NYI and Matt Martin play deep. Stupid Leafs.

And Caps Ownership and Management seeing Trotz dummy them.

For those that think coaching doesn’t matter look at the Islanders. They swapped out Tavares for Trotz and haven’t looked back.
