Maybe, but his team isn't giving him much help this period.
Flames are getting dominated since their goal.

Hrudeys has a man crush on Markstrom and is always critical when it comes to Wolf.

I don't think too many of these guys will be here by the time Flames are challenging for the conference.
We have a lot of spare parts.

One thing I've noticed with Wolf is he often gets really mad after he lets one in. Like noticeably irate. Aren't goalies supposed to be kinda chill and just move on? Feels like he might be putting too much pressure on himself that may be detrimental. Just an uninformed guess.

We have zero foundational players. This roster is rickety as hell.
Wolf outright keeping the Flames in the game.

My question is why is Zary a healthy scratch.
We already know what Duehr is (not good). Why is he even on the roster at this point.

Has it been confirmed Zary is a healthy scratch? I assumed he was sick or something.

Perhaps the fact he is only 22 has some effect on his reactions. He will learn.

Seems like he's been battling an injury all year. That was my assumption why he's out.

Every goalie is different. Getting mad at yourself can be beneficial too because it can give you more motivation to try and make sure you don't let in anymore.

Confirming — #Flames rookie Connor Zary is a healthy scratch tonight. Absence is not injury-related.

We don't know if anything happened like late for practice or something like that but if its for his play then I don't agree at all.

It seems to me like a coach trying to send a message to the team when almost no one showed up last game.
And of course you can't sit a "star" so you have to sit a rookie to send the message.

Gaudreau was a healthy scratch the year he was a Calder finalist. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. They may have seen some bad habits creeping in and wanted to give him a different perspective and keep him hungry.
I personally don’t think he’s been bad enough to warrant a healthy scratch but I don’t think it’s anything to freak out about either.

Tbf Zary has slowed down. 1 point in his last 9. 9 points in his last 26.

his lateral movement is elite
though in fairness, he over-reacted on the 2nd goal, IMO
