I'm on Shaw and I've lost my TSN channels - Back to on-line scoreboard watching.

Damn. Dabrowski and Pavec were broken at 4-4 in the second set, then broke right back to save the match. Then, went down 1-5 in the tiebreak before winning six straight points.
Going to the shootout super tie break to determine a champion!

Gaby and Mate have forced a third set (super tie-breaker, first to 10 points wins)
Darn, 10-8 for Dodig and Chan in the super tie-breaker.

I get this for the early parts of the tournament, you have limited court time because of the other events, but for the championship they should at least play a best of 4 final set rather than the best of 10 breaker.

They just do this for mixed doubles, not normal doubles.
Gabrowski won the french last year on a super tiebreaker.
A best of 4 final set would just go to a tiebreak anyways.

I'm not really sure what the answer is. I don't think those other facilities have enough court capacity to hold a draw larger than 64 players so that would make it a no go right away.
I would suggest the French Open bring in folks from Melbourne to school them on how to put on a real major event for starters. Also, get the bloody roof for your stadium finished and possibly bump the event up a week so that you are able to take advantage of fresher players who haven't already been toiling in Europe on clay for 2 months now. This would also free up space to add another grass event or two into the calendar so that we as fans don't have to continue watching this mind numbing brand of tennis for 10 weeks straight.

Interesting article as to why Hawk eye isnt used on clay. I guess it's not just because they can look at the mark, but rather each match involves much more calculation than on hard court or grass, due to the changing conditions of the clay.

I guess to sum up the current state of the women's game, most people were ready to give up on Sloane Stephens this time last year, and now she could hold half the majors by Saturday afternoon. So I guess as horrific as it's gotten for Genie, there's still hop.....well not really, but I guess she can look to Sloane for inspiration.

Stephens broke her foot. She has a real excuse.
I think Stephens has had a fairly normal progression. She has had two injuries though, back in 2015 and foot in 2017.
Stephens is beautiful too but she's not going for publicity like Bouchard.

Genie did suffer a concussion that derailed her run at the US Open in 2015. How much that set her back along with the on-going litigation that was finally settled she only knows.

Thiem is into the French Open final following a straight sets win over Cecchinato. The first two sets were a real battle especially the second set that Thiem won in a tiebreaker 12-10.

Only five games in and Delpo is being visited by the trainer. Hopefully, it's nothing serious (maybe just some anti-inflammatory meds).

He looked to hurt his groin but he seems to be moving fine today. Good match so far

Well that's that, bit of a choke for DelPo going 0/6 on break points. Should be a cakewalk now for Nadal.

Seven straight games (and counting) won by Rafa - Whether it's the hip or groin bothering Delpo, you can poke him with a fork, he's done like dinner today.
