Of course he would vote for himself to do less work though.

All true. However, it can be noted that Montreal is currently building LRT that will have an airport station. There is also a commuter rail station in Dorval, though it suffers from the "last mile" problem and infrequent service.

Oh great, a stop in Cochrane!

I might have missed his specific response, but I looked at the votes and they were all “yes”, including his.

I'm looking at journos covering this on twitter, don't think there has been any vote yet. They were going to go into a closed session on it. Chu did vote in opposition of the agenda.

There was a vote before the closed session. Was this a different vote to start off?

It is beyond insane that this guy can still be allowed to sit on council.

Better politicians have stepped down from their roles for less than this.
And yet he won't do it. He will stay in his seat for as long as he can even if more and more skeletons keep coming out of Chu's closet.
He's addicted to being in a position of power and won't do the right thing.

To be fair, that's all the City has requested. The Route Ahead planners have refused again and again to rank future Green Line stages against each other and versus other possible transit projects. And given the many delays (mostly self-inflicted) and the possibility that there might not be enough money to cross the Bow, there's little political benefit to "funding" the NC extension when it probably won't be built for another 15-20 years, while a small extension to the Blue Line and the people mover to the airport could probably be built and opened before Green Line Stage 1 is even finished.

Can they vote that he resign?
