Nice - the Flyers are always thinking ahead. When they fire him, they will have 2 former NHL head coaches in-house to choose from to be the interim head coach.

Wow, that's quite a staff. Sounds like a coaching staff for Team Canada at World Championships.

And I am sure it will be every season.

That's a little harsh. Vigneault is a very good head coach. Yeo and Therrien have both shown their values as assistants. They just were not very good in the head coaching role, but they are as good as you could probably get for assistant coaches.

It's a good staff. Philly has been plagued by inconsistency over recent years. They are a team of streaks. Long winning streaks followed by long losing streaks. Get them to play .500 during their down periods and they're a possible division winner. Assuming of course that they've finally found a goalie in Carter Hart. It really could be a team on the upswing next year.

I don't get the league infatuation with Mike Yeo. Seems like teams always interview him (Flames did) and he always finds work but he seems like Gulutzan without the hair.

Therrien and Yeo are almost a package deal it seems. Goes all the way back to their Wilkes-Barre days.

I thought Hitchcock signed a 3 year contract.
