Post Playoff Matchups

So we are just about done and playoff partners are pretty much set. Where do things stand now?

(Nothing changed, all pairings below are set for the playoff
s)

Eastern Conference

1. Philadelphia Flyers (1-0-1-1) vs 8. Toronto Maple Leafs (0-1-1-1)
2. Washington (0-3-1) vs 7. New York Rangers (3-0-1)
3. Montreal Canadiens (1-2) vs 6. New Jersey Devils (2-1)
4. Detroit Red Wings (1-1) vs 5. New York Islanders (1-1)

Tampa Bay and the Rangers currently hold the 7 and 8 spots in the east, however, the Maple Leafs and Hurricanes are within 1 point of each. The Rangers have 2 games left and hold the cards, but a loss by T'Bay could drop them out of the playoffs after being a first place team for half the year. Fire the Manager and his assistant?

Tampa Bay - vs Buffalo
Toronto - vs Nashville
Carolina - vs NYR

Who do you like in the current match-ups?

Western Conference

1. Minnesota Wild (4-1) vs 8. Columbus Blue Jackets (1-4)
2. Chicago Blackhawks (3-1-1) vs 7. Colorado Avalanche (1-3-1)
3. Anaheim Ducks (2-1-1-1) vs 6. Calgary Flames (1-2-1-1)
4. San Jose Sharks (4-0-1) vs 5. Phoenix Coyotes (0-4-1)

The West is pretty much a wrap. Mathematically the Canucks still have a shot at 8th if they win their final 2 games and Columbus loses its final game vs Phoenix.
What do you think about the west match-ups?

Columbus - at Phoenix
Vancouver - vs St Louis, at San Jose

A Wings/Islanders first-round series? What is this, déjà vu?

Sharks haven't been able to get past the first round in the previous 2 seasons. Anything past the first round this year is a win.

Pretty cool that some matchups could come down to the final day before being decided.

Tampa Bay and their erstwhile GM and assistant GM complete the total collapse by missing the playoffs...again.
Toronto takes over the final eastern spot.
In the west Columbus holds on and Vancouver is eliminated.

Based on head to heads there could be some upsets in the East.
