It’s the right thing to do but still feels a little bit tainted. It’s a little hard to hold him to the same level as guys like Lanny, Conroy, and Theo who have made themselves a part of Calgary, even if he was a more important player to the franchise than all three.
What are you talking about?! Am I the only one confused by this comment? Nothing is tainted when it comes to Iggy. Love you forever Jarome!!

Section 110, bottom 10 rows.
Is there any way to find the face value on those?

I think they’re around $140-150 depending on if you purchased season tickets. Which this would necessitate.

Ya, he's asking face value. The flames priced this one at top premium which puts face at about $260

I would have 10 on par or ahead of a few of those

I was on a flight with no WiFi when the announcement was made and subsequently my tickets sold right after. Congrats to whomever got my pair of tickets for $200 haha.

Lemelin was my first favourite Flame, although he was replaced by Vernie the very second we scored in OT against the Canucks to snap that 11-game losing streak in '86.

In fact, I would even say that Vernie had already caught up with Lemelin as my new favourite when he stood on his head against the Russians a couple games before that.

But I digress... I was a huge Lemelin fan before #30 came along.

Lemelin was #31.
The troll of #1 is either Turek Hiller or Elliott.

I think he's referring to the fact Iggy chooses to live in a city other than Calgary after he is not contractually obligated to do so

It’s the reason why Brouwer was garbage as soon as he got here.

I hope the Flames do warm up in the different Flames jersey styles Iginla wore during his time here.

So to be fair to Theo at that point saying Gaudreau could have a Cliff Ronning type career was probably a fair point.
I know he played for the evil Canucks, but I actually liked Cliff Ronning. He was a small guy, but really skilled and had a bit of an edge too.

I think JG has more skill, but the comparison shouldn't be considered an insult IMO.

I Lifetime Goalie Point Shares, he ranks 44th all time, just behind Chris Osgood and just ahead oh Felix Potvin.

Vernon was a good goalie for a number of years, but he was excellent for only a few of those years.

I don’t believe he is HOF material.

Plus he’s the ultimate putz.

One Boston player had already been told he was going to Calgary (Khokhlachev, I believe). Iggy approved both teams, Feaster finalized it and came back to Iginla who suddenly changed his mind. Feaster salvaged a trade with Pittsburgh.

That's a pretty solid source.

The fact that Feaster had to come back to Iggy suggested that his approval wasn’t final. Like Iggy said “I’ll consider Pitts. and Bost, but I prefer Pitts., let me know”. When Feaster said “ I can do Bost. and Pitts., but prefer Bost.”, Iggy chose Pitts?

He was also a better goalie than Grant Fuhr. Especially when it mattered most.
