I wasn't charged anything. I found it more uncomfortable than painful. I was told any soreness goes away after a week - I found it got worse over the first 6 days, but by day 7 I felt fine. It does take several months to clear out the system (I failed my first post-op test).

I didn't fail my first post-op test, per se, as in there were dead guys found, but no live guys. However , the doctor recommended I retest another month or two down the road, just to make sure.

Saw Dr. Mayhew in Dalbrent Centre across from Churchill High School. No extra billing, no referral required, just call him up and book a consult. Had no issues at all. Mild bruising. Referred a few friends there and they had no problems as well.
Just make sure you get the post test. Know one guy didn't go for the post test and now has a third kid.

I had to have surgery and asked the doctor if he could just do this at the same time. I wasn't having anything major done, and just figured while I was under I might as well go through this (otherwise I might never do it!). I would recommend that above anything else described here!

I did. Its fataing terrible and humiliating. Not only do you have to drop it off within an hour, but you also have to give it directly to a person. Its not like returning a video where you can throw it in a slot of anything. Logically I put mine in a bag and tried to conceal it, but it still sucked.
Oh, and to add to your not wanting to do this, apparently they have more sensitive equipment to check now. So while they say 3 months, you might have to do this again.

LOL. I just visited vasman's website, and find it hilarious that a guy that is snipping your junk up, has a website that was apparently designed by his 11 year old. However when my time comes, I am sure I will keep with CP tradition, and use the vasman.

I didn't think it was that bad .... I just had sex an hour before I dropped it off so I was in a pretty good mood. Just asked where they wanted the specimen container ... they pointed to a basket on the desk and I went on my merry way.

I actually had to hand a warm bottle of jizz to some old lady at the front desk of the clinic. I think I screwed up the protocol/didn't see the basket. She looked horrified, which made me happy for some reason.

Was it all contained inside the bottle?

I think as a doctor the only concern he should (and isn't it legally unless you are mentally unfit?) have is if you want the procedure.
Not really sure what would be the point of asking if the wife is on board or not if the dude doesn't want kids he doesn't want kids.

That seems unethical and wrong.
If a doctor asks if the wife is on board in consult I guess that is fine but after the answer is given that should be it.
I don't imagine a wife gives permission for her husband to have heart surgery.

I was given a lab services bag to put the specimen jar into. Just dropped it off at the right lab area with the 4-5 other guys who were also dropping off similar white lab bags.
I know a guy who rubbed one out in the lab washroom.

You guys are all nuts (pardon the pun)
Maybe I just dont understand because I am young and don't have kids.
Why would you voluntary subject yourself to pain, and ruin future chances of being fertile?
Seems like a double negative to me.
Then again, maybe all it takes is one evil kid.
lol

If you don't want kids and know that you don't want kids, why not put up with a couple of days of a mild pain so that you can stop buying condoms?

I think that's the key, you're young. Most of us who have had it done are late 30s and beyond. A lot of the guys have already had the kids they want and don't want any accidents. As WhiteTiger says it alleviates the condom hassle and related to that if the couple is using particular types of female contraception it is recommended they stop after a number of years or as the woman ages.
In my view the physical pain for getting snipped is minor compared to the emotional and financial pain unplanned kids could cause.

Exactly. It's not something you do for short-term birth control if you might want to have kids later, but if you're sure you're done then it's far and away the best long-term option. I'm at the age where if I had more kids I'd be raising teenagers after my planned retirement, so I don't want any accidents.
