I think almost any of the teams in the west could make the final if their goalie gets hot.

Wpg, Colorado, Edm, Van, Nash, Dal, Vegas

L.A. Is the one team I think is outgunned. I was at the last Flames game against them where they only had 7 or 8 shots in the first two periods. The aren’t very good. I’m surprised they made it into the playoffs.

They are a point away from being the best team in the NHL over the last 30 games. That's a pretty large sample size so definitely not a team to sleep on.

Nashville is my dark horse to make it to the conference finals. They're sneaky good and seem to play a strong overall team game.

I read something toward the end of the season where Nashville was a top 8 in team in terms of slot shots created, and slot shots allowed. The result was that they have an elite level share of high danger scoring chances.

Andrew Brunette has done an excellent job in his first year coaching them. They have a 12 million dollar cap bogey to deal with in the coming two years with Johanssen, Duchene, and Turris. But they do clear s few dollars too.

Vancouver is suffering from the Flames invisibility issues that plagued us during the playoffs. Pettersson has had 0 impact through 2 games, they've got to turn it around and losing their top tier goalie surely doesn't help.

Not sure what Soucy was thinking here, completely giving up that lane to the net uncontested to the most dangerous scorer on the ice.

Gave up season tickets after 15 years back in 2014. I (un)fortunate to witness Calgary eliminate VAN twice in that span. Throughout many playoff games tho, I don't ever recall chanting our goalies name or defense on a PK. The new generation fans are clearly confused!

This might be the case where playoff inexperience becomes a factor. Overcoming adversity mentally is just as important as playing sound hockey.

Best of 5 and the Canucks fans in the US get to listen to Cassie Campbell do the color.

That's pretty good!

On a 2 on 1, which this more or less is, the D is supposed to take the pass and leave the goalie with the shot.

He was probably thinking that he'd take the pass away, so the other forward doesn't have a tap-in, I'd imagine.

Yeah, for the most part that was just Forsberg doing Forsberg stuff. If Soucy tried take him, he would have risked interfering with his own goalie and leaving an opening for a pass or tap in. Forsberg has a number of ways to make defensemen look dumb, but I think the right play in the circumstance was to put your faith in your goalie and try to mop up the rebound.

Not that I blame DeSmith either. Forsberg made a perfect shot.

The core group went to the semi finals in the bubble. They also added Lindholm who has playoff experience(not good ones), and Zadorov who has playoff experience as well.

They had 37 shots in 2 games. That is pretty lousy.

I shouldn’t have clicked. It even says Kassian is the goat. We train people not to click on phishing and the clue was right there. Anyways, I’m not Casey de smith, so I clicked out as soon as they said that.
