I think this show deserves a thread, if you slept on it you really should give it a chance. The last episode with BJ's baptism was one of the funniest half hours of TV I've seen since Veep. BJ's cumberbund, Baby Billy describing the toilet baby, Judy's in-law song, all gold. With this and Peacmaker HBO has the market cornered on bat#### crazy comedy

To be honest, I assumed this series already had a thread and it had just fallen off the first page after season 1. It’s a great series, and was just renewed for a season 3.

The casting just seems so perfect on this show - Edi Patterson as Judy plays crazy perfectly, Walton Goggins as Baby Billy is spot on, and even Jennifer Nettles is good as Aimee-Leigh in her limited screen time.

If you like this show and haven’t already fallen down the Danny McBride rabbit hole, definitely check out Vice Principals as well. I’d almost say it’s better (Goggins and Edi Patterson are also in that, and are great again).

I am a fan of most of Danny McBrides work. Eastbound and Down was amazing, Vice Principals was good but I have enjoyed Gemstones a lot.

Season finale was amazing, BJ talking about Judy's "banged out mother #####" almost caused me to choke from laughing so hard, and probably the funniest/grossest birthing scene in TV history. Can't wait for season 3
