The Maple Leafs are proud to announce the acquisition of hometown boy John Tavares, as well as non-hometown boy Hampus Lindholm, from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Anze Kopitar and Jake Muzzin.


For the Leafs, we bring in two younger players who, especially in the case of Tavares, have been having outstanding offensive seasons, which we hope translate to the Blue and White. In the case of Lindholm, well it was lunchtime when the deal was struck and, "Mmmmmm Ham."



Meanwhile, Kopitar and Muzzin have recently fallen on the outs of our organization for breaking our franchise's Secret Santa rules and far out-spending the $20 maximum. Also, they sell drugs to kids.


In a sweet reverse of reality, stay tuned for the GM of the Leafs to post a photo of himself with his Johnny Tavares bed sheets.


Thanks to Swayze for the deal that went back and forth, but eventually was decided upon because I'm desperate to kickstart this stupid team somehow. We'll see if this is a start.

Here in New Jersey we promote selling drugs to kids so they were a perfect fit.

We are in a similar situation to Toronto, we need a kick start. We are under performing so a mix up seemed worth it. We are a fairly young group so adding some vets makes sense for us.

I get a fairly significant upgrade on D with a lateral move on F. With Muzzin on a 1 year deal and a pending UFA and Kopitar having 2 years it gives us some flexibility going forward.
