xG 1.64 to 1.56 over the full game in favor of palace. Liverpool played well in the 1st and palace in the 2nd. Anyway apparently this bad reffing weekend after that missed interference handing the grease the win yesterday.

Can I somehow get that gig? Honestly, it's pretty sweet. I'd sign a two year deal, get sacked in a few months (or sooner! lol) and just get paid for that last 20 months of the deal. Seems pretty good!

Good. Hope he recaptures his form from a value pov.
Now why the hell are they stalling on Lingard? Get him to hell out of the club asap.
With his recent Dubai pics adding to further distraction he'd be a perfect fit for the Newcastle regime.

Van de Beek will also go on loan, either to Crystal Palace or Valencia it seems. No buy option for him or Martial.
still playing hardball with Newcastle over a loan fee for Lingard, which has left poor Jesse "angry" and "feeling disrespected". My heart bleeds for him lol.

I hope Van de Beek goes somewhere and plays lights out.
Went from starting for the CL semi-finalists, and Netherlands national team.
To sitting on the bench for Man U and barely playing.

Maybe he's just not good enough any more. No idea what he's like in training but on the admittedly few occasions he's played he's been very underwhelming to put it kindly.
Players do go off the boil. His trajectory is not unlike Alli.
Played in a CL final. Starting for England in a WC semi having scored in the quarters. Now look for at him.
On a completely unrelated note. What the hell is going on at Everton? Is there a particular reason why their supporters are so opposed to Pereira and so pro Frank?

Well, the pressure on Daniel Levy and ENIC is going to get intense. First Traore goes to Barca instead of us, and now Diaz is heading to Liverpool instead of us as well . That happening twice in two days isn't great, and particularly when the feeling is that Conte will walk if he's not backed.
Overall, just grim.

just my two cents, but I wouldn't shed a tear over missing out on Traore. One of the most overrated players I've ever seen.

yeah I've wondered about that too. From what I've read, it also relates to the involvement of agent Kia Joorabchian who apparently is in Moshiri's ear all the time. Both Pereira and Cannavaro, who has also been interviewed, are clients of Joorabchian.
Either way, it's not a good look when Wayne Rooney, who works at a Championship club mired in administration and relegation fears, comes out and says he flat out rejected their approach. Good on him. Now it looks like Lampard is indeed taking over at Everton.

I guess it’s not so much Traore, or even Diaz (he’s good, but not really addressing needs we have). It’s the fact that we’re 28 days in and all we’ve managed to do is loan Jack Clarke to Sunderland. I thought having Paratici and hearing about his amazing work ethic and all that would mean we’d be active, clear out some dead wood and bring in fresh blood. That was bolstered when we got Conte.
Instead, the reputation of the club is in tatters. First we had last summers manager search, which was a complete debacle. The summer where we accomplished very little and this where we’ve done nothing. I realize it’s not like playing Football Manager, but other clubs are doing things, so there’s really no excuse.

I dont know if I'd go that far, typically for something to have been destroyed it has to have existed in the first place.
I think Tottenham's reputation of being the slow kid who eats paste and wears a Dunce Cap of the EPL is alive and well.
So you've got that going for you. Which is nice.

If the player wasn't that keen on, needed to be coaxed/courted to join then it's not a matter of the signing club having missed out when they have gone elsewhere but just as much that they might have dodged a bullet.

He’s Spanish, and Barcelona comes calling, from a mid-table perm club. It’s a no brainer.
Spurs can’t take that personally, and really they should. Be happy the dodged a bullet. Like devo sais, very overrated.

he played in Barcelona's youth system too. I've also read he wasn't keen on playing RWB at Tottenham (which IMO would have been a bad fit anyway, but Conte has made mediocre players shine before, so who knows). Looks like Dejan Kulusevski could join though, would be a good addition for Spurs, I think.
Phil Jones on the verge of joining Bordeaux. That's a sentence I never imagined writing, but here we are lol.
Amad Diallo has joined Rangers on loan and scored a goal in his debut today. Hope he kills it up there.
