Sure would be nice to have teams in Saskatoon (the movement for a team is there) and Quebec City (for obvious reasons). I'd say those two are my favourite near candidates in the future.

This article highlights the probability of expansion across the country.
CPL Quebec (Updated 31 Jan) – Last we had heard, a stadium deal in Quebec City had been achieved, but everything had been very quiet in the province. Now, with Atletico Ottawa confirmed, we’re hearing a similar arrangement may be made with Olympique Lyonnais in Quebec City. The team wouldn’t be launching until 2021 at the earliest.
Rumour Strength: Moderate
Fraser Valley (Updated 2 Jan) – Although previously considered a lock for 2021, with play to occur at a new field located at the Langley Event Centre, recent rumours are starting to circulate that a team in the Fraser Valley is further off than anticipated, with some “sources” claiming 2022 a more likely target.
Rumour Strength: Moderate
Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge (Updated 2 Jan) – Rumours surrounding a team in this area have been heating up lately, with recent claims placing K-W & (somewhere in) Quebec as being “ready to announce” for a 2021.
Thanks to John Jacques at Northern Tribune, we know for certain that Stuart Neely, the former coach of KW United & current Manager of Coach Education at Canada Soccer, is not connected to the new club.
Rumour Strength: Strong
CPL Laval (Updated 2 Jan)- Despite surfacing on AFC Curtis, Bunbury remains relatively tight lipped on progress in Laval. Expansion expectations are pushed to 2022.
Rumour Stength: Moderate
Saskatoon (Updated 8 Nov) – Latest rumours indicate Belan is targeting a 2022 launch.
Rumour Strength: Moderate
St John’s, NL (New 17 Jan) – A series of tweets suggest that there is a plan on the table to refurbish King George V Park for a 10,000 seat stadium for a future CPL team called NL United to launch in 2021/2022. Aside from the series of tweets from “an unreliable source,” there has been no information.
We suspect this rumour could all be smoke.
Rumour Strength: Very Weak

As it doesn't say 'new' signing, I wonder if it is a returning player.

According to multiple sources, Cavalry FC have signed ✍ Winger/Forward Richard Luca from Brazil The 22-year old player has played in Mexico, Georgia besides his native country. Only Announcement is left. I’ve reached out to the club for comment & have not heard back. #CanPL

He looks quick footed and loves to run at players.. Primarily a wide left player from those highlights. He would be a different dynamic and a boost to the attack even if Escalante does end up coming back

Bruno Zebie has been officially announced. Good depth player for the squad who can play midfield or fullback. Shouldn't be a starter IMO but will likely get a decent amount of minutes due to his versatility.

Seems like he was quite highly regarded as a younger player. Played some games for Brazil's U20 national team (I think). Career must have really stalled at some point. Still, looks like a great addition for Cavalry.

From the clips I watched, he looks like a total cowboy, always trying to force plays. I can see how he is not fit for better leagues, but individual efforts in the CPL might still pay off.

That’ll be great, new kits always help amp up the excitement level for a new season.
My heart says "yay!" My wallet groans. New kits every season will cause a fight between my urge to have the latest and greatest with my need to be a financially responsible adult.
