Kvyat gets a podium in a Toro Rosso before Gasly in a Red Bull.
And congrats to Kvyat on becoming a father!
Edit. Also, all three drivers on the podium have driven for both Toro Rosso and Red Bull.

Some interesting notes on the race...
First time since 1992 with two Honda engines on the podium.
First time since 2013 Lewis Hamilton has finished a race and been outside of points. Classified 9th due to penalties to both Alfa drivers. Kubica now 10th scoring a point for Williams!
First time since 2008 Italian GP that Toro Rosso finishes on the podium.
McLaren has more points right now than they did all last season.

With water on the track F1 goes from one of the most boring sports to watch to one of the most exciting! They need to schedule races during monsoon and typhoon seasons.
Can't believe i forgot to pvr this and only caught 40% of the race at the hotel. Now i'm streaming some russian site... haha

Not 100% certain but i think the odds for Kyvat to finish on the podium before the race was 700 to 1.

Well I think I got zero points this week! What a wild race. "Stroll is leading the German Grand Prix!"

That was a crazy, intense, and extremely entertaining race. I'm soooooo stoked for Toro Rosso!! 3rd and 6th is just an epic result for them. And Stroll with the best strategy call of the day to finish 4th. Vettel from P20 to P2. 3 fantastic races in a row...this is why I love F1!!
I can't get over that last double right hand turn (T16+T17)and how many drivers got caught out there. Hulkenberg was headed to a top 5, Leclerc a potential win (now lost 3 wins at Germany, Austria, Bahrain), Perez, Hamilton. I think Bottas got caught out at T1.
I'm very impressed with how far RBR (and Toro) have come with the Honda engines. They look legitimately powerful, not quite at Ferrari level yet, but they are getting much more competitive.
I know Alfa's are supposed to get a 30 sec penalty for their clutch issue at the start, but they are appealing. With the penalties...WILLIAMS GET POINTS!!!!! I'll go with the current official standings for our points until I (or someone else) hears if they reversed the decision.
And I have to think that Gasly gets canned in the next 3 races. Silly season is almost here and he's been very underwhelming, bordering on terrible.
I can only hope Hungary (this weekend!!) makes it 4 great races in a row.

Hahaha, wow, and I thought Austria was a poor showing by us. We had a TOTAL of 3 correct picks this weekend.
Cecil has a dominant week win with 23pts, followed by Jepworth at 15, and Btimbit at 9. The rest of us...3-6pts. Looks like a bunch of us were on holidays as well so using the British GP picks didnt turn out well.
Again...these may change slightly if Alfa does get their penalties overturned (then I get a correct pick and Btimbit loses his).
