This is me. I drink those for three reasons:

1) Keeps weight off
2) Beer messes with my stomach
3) If I drink them pre-mixed, I don't drink as much as if I just had a bottle of gin and some soda water (my singles devolve into triples pretty quickly)

Yeah, the Nudes are a vodka/gin seltzer that are very popular in Vancouver. As you said, they aren't that bad in a social setting.

In the 'burbs, my experience is that binge-drinking cheap alcohol is still very common.

I guess to Cliff's point that follows more or less the same pattern as cigarettes.

What if you have no social circle at all? How does that fit into Peter's new angle of suburbs vs urban living

On my way home last night, I think I saw every cruiser in the city out pulling people over. I know there's a huge point of safety here but I see trouble for the citizens more than anything. We're giving too much power and chance of mistake to a group now.

This and the reduced residential street speeds coming up don't feel like solutions to bigger problems, but excuses to increase the charges and tickets given out

I was more interested in how Peter managed to turn what alcohol you drink into another one of his 'suburbs are bad' points

While your shopping for coronavirus masks, there is still a very good collection of breathalyzers available on Amazon or breathalyzer.ca.

For the suburbanites, of course...

That illustrates the existential dread of living in a suburb more perfectly than anything, to be honest.

Nah, I had no friends when I lived in the city, the burbs, and now out of town. The neighborhood had nothing to do with that

Do a lot of people drink when you're around Peter?

Easy bud, I'll take a shot but that's over the line. I said I misspoke, replied directly to you, and edited my post to remove it.

Muster up all your social abilities and take a hint.
