[Trade] Avs acquire Dubnyk from SJ for Pateryn + 5th

I like Rittich and the sentimental side of me would hate to do this, but if a trade can't be worked out by tomorrow, I would put him on waivers. Maybe a team would be more likely to give something if they thought he could go directly onto the taxi squad without losing him.

I doubt Rittich will re-sign in Calgary and if he deserves the chance to play.

I would trade Rittich for a 4th or a 5th and a cap dump. As long as the cap dump has a contract that expires at the end of the year, who cares? Take the pick.

Despite numbers, these teams are looking for a calm, solid, experienced goalie for the playoffs. Sure Rittich has more future value, but I imagine the available vets get picked up first.

With the goalies available, interesting pickup by the Aves. They probably are in a few more trade talks, so wanted the draft capital/prospects for that.
