That's what the Big Vitamin lobby wants you to think!!!

As if there's huge downside to you buying a $10 bottle of vitamin D supplements that lasts most of the year...

If people living in northern Asia have the same problem.

I recall reading about how fair skin developed in Europe, but not Asia or North America, and one of the theories is that North Americans and Asians had diets (salmon and mushrooms) that gave them vitamin D. Europeans had a more vegetarian diet.

Post TDL. Do teams have unlimited rosters, and emergency callups? If Miller or others opt out, would that open cap space to dress Utica

Miller said he wouldn't be opting out, and theres an article today on athletic where the writer says hes talked to some players but no one was considering opting out

They do get, and will be using Friday for sure, covid exemption slots for players that are unavailable from the quarantine window, but I dont know if that's just those who are in the window or includes those still not feeling well enough

So have to imagine it's a very wide held belief in the team and organization

Hard to punish the entire team for the actions of a few though.

Fair enough, still...I'm sure they all want to be paid for a 56 game season. If he was willing to pass on the rest of his salary to sit out I would take him more seriously.

Everyone is blaming the league these days, they are in a tough spot...especially when players aren't following the rules.

The health and safety of the players and their families should be first and foremost.

Hockey is just a game. These are people's lives. Whether they are professional athletes or not, they and their families have been through the wringer and should not be expected to resume play after such a short recovery period. It's ridiculous and reckless. There has to be a better solution.

Don't know why they can't give them an extra 5-7 days recovery and tack on a week of Canuck make up games at the end of the schedule before playoffs.

19 in 31 fresh out of covid and quarantine with travel is a touch on the inhumane side, even as an opposing fan.

Currently the last 4 days of the season is already just Vancouver finishing their schedule.

Sounds like the NHLPA met with the Canucks players and doctors tonight. The more I'm reading, the more it sounds like that the Canucks will not be playing on Friday.

That would I think pretty much settle that the Canucks aren't playing a full season.

According to the current schedule, by May 10th the Central division has already ended its regular season, while the North still takes at least 6 more days. I don't think the US teams will want to wait much longer than that for Canada to finish... Especially since its pretty likely the playoff teams on the North are settled at that point. The playoffs are already going to start later than usual.

I guess theorically they could start the playoffs at different times in different divisions and try to make the schedules line up by the start of the conference finals by spreading some series out longer... But I think teams would complain about uneven playing grounds.

I think the playoff line is going to go by points percentage. Or I guess they could have play-in series between Montreal and Calgary...
