Yeah, he's a good "in the wings" hire for assistant, but the head coaching hire is well known and it's bad.

I guess this is how I bandwagon onto another teams fanbase.
That sucks.
It's this type of stuff that would cause me to stop following a team. It's happened once in a different sport. I've never stopped being a fan of a team because of lack of success (clearly!) but how they handle things like this is what does it.

The fact the assistant coaches don't even know their fate is just brutal. You can't treat people like that.

LONG time poster. Tough to give up on your team. Says a lot about this whole saga.

So has Boudreau officially been fired yet? This is the most bizarre thing I have seen. He's been a Deadman walking for like two weeks now. The organization is a complete embarrassment.

This is great news for fans of pacific division teams.

Canucks may as well start rebuilding.

Yeo is a terrible coach but he's won a lot more than than Tocchet.

Going from one end of the coaching spectrum to the other with this hire. Tocchet has a career winning percentage of .406 in almost 500 games. What could go wrong?

Luckily for Bruce, because he is a good person and people like him and support him, he will land on his feet somewhere in the NHL. He is better off to have that absolute disgrace of an organization in his rear view mirror. I hope he can just take some time for himself and realize he in no way deserved to be treated like that.

Lol its like teams are terrified to let Yeo go. Wild? Waited way too long. Flyers? Promoted him to end a season after everyone else else was fired. Vancouver? Sticking around after all this.

Tochet a) must feel a little sheepish and b) wondering how he will be treated once he is fired.

Boudreau should take Tocchet's place on TNT. Seems fair.

Didn't Yeo coach is St. Louis also? He's terrible.

Totally forgot about that! Blues may have been the only smart group in the bunch. Brought in Berube I believe. That ended alright.

Why would a new coach want to walk into that situation? I mean a decent one and not just one that is desperate to get back into the NHL. Tocchet sucks.

Not the biggest Boudreau fan but he is a quality NHL that deserves way better than this. Just ridiculous.

The Canucks are a terribly constructed team. They barely have NHL quality defensemen. Say what you will about Hughes but he is far from a top pairing D man. He will make flashy offensive plays but flubs the standard defensive ones. His reads, angles and gaps are brutal. He doesn't know or doesn't care. Probably both. Hard to blame an over worked goaltender behind ####ty team defence for the clubs woes.
