Since the russians (and petey) are the only ones playing well up front, and vancouver will never win a draft lottery

Can the NHL completely disregard the KHL and we can draft michkov and bring him over early?

Atlanta Flames, 1980 playoffs, preliminary round.

But they didn't get that win to force game 5 with the Rangers, let alone the series win, and next thing you know they were banished to some godforsaken place up in Canada.

This is wild and makes me wonder if the Horvat vs Miller rumours from last season might be true? Hate is a strong word though and makes me also wonder what Miller says or does to make him hated by some teammates?

Feel bad for Bruce as he's just an all around good guy. Since Rutherford clearly doesn't like the guy, instead of taking these passive aggressive shots at him through the media, just let the man go already.

He also said in the same radio interview that it wouldn't matter who's playing D if they had a better structure. Okay Rutherford.

Rutherford should worry about his own job, a lot of his moves remind me of Benning.

Not exactly sure what he's trying to accomplish here. How does he expect the players to buy into any system when he's undermining the head coach in front of the media?

You want me to rank the six most dysfunctional GM offices from worst to least worst? Ok.

1. Bruins
2. Canucks
3. Deadmonton
4. Toronto
5. Flyers (goalie is saving them from meltdown....be patient)
6. Blackhawks

It feels like Benning is still running the team because the same puppet master is still pulling the strings. It's not the GM office. It's ownership.

I hear you there. I have heard it as a running joke amongst folks that know the family that he doesn't care much for the success of the team. I know it was a real estate investment with a team to boot, but funny that the owner doesn't have much passion for the wellbeing of the team if that is true. Just sell the team. Accurate?

I've heard the opposite - that he's been a Canuck fan forever.

I don't think it's dysfunctional in Boston, I think they made a big mistake, but it's a one-off.

For me, it's:

1) VAN
2) EDM
3) ARI
4) PHI
5) BUF

and 1-2 are interchangeable, depending on how recently Kevin Lowe has touched something

and BUF seems to maybe have righted the ship, starting with the Eichel trade

Boston? That's one of the better run organizations in the last 15 years. Are you perhaps feeling some recency bias with that ridiculous signing last week?

Boston....don't want this to go down the political rabbit hole. But AT BEST Neely put trust in Sweeney and minions to roll up the sleeves and put together the team. The criteria/process that that system used to sign that dope is obviously flawed. It's about the process/organization failure just like you could have in a business. CEO's should freak out when that happens because that is their job.

Good way to undermine your coach, both with the fan base and the players.
I for one applaud Rutherford for his actions. I think he needs to say more in the media, way more.
