Well it is "Adult Origami with Lar DeSouza" and from Emerald city comicon it's description is "There's nothing sexier than folding, tucking, and pinching... paper into naughty, adult shapes!" so there you have it.

Well damnit, if I knew it was going to be Matt Smith & Karen Gillan on Saturday, I would have actually bought tickets months ago!!!
Now it's almost impossible to get Saturday tickets. I don't really care about much sci fi or comic book stuff but I've watched Doctor Who on YTV and PBS since I was a kid.

Just for photo ops however. I don't care about that. I'd like to check out the panel which is in the Corral on Saturday. Stan Lee's was pretty cool last time.

So what is on everyone's to do lists?
Cyanide + Happiness, Fiona Staples, J Scott Campbell, Max Brooks, and RL Stine are at the top of my list.
Might try to hit up some panels on Sunday.

C&H and the Doctor Who panel are the big draws for me. Just wandering around otherwise.
I may or may not get a photo op with Karen Gillan.

LOL, wtf.
They're making people hike around Grandstand building to get their wristband/passes this year. Not sure they could put it any further away for people to get to. They won't even let you enter the main entrance, gotta walk all the way around. Felt bad for some people I saw with reduced mobility try to get there, didn't see a shuttle or anything for them.
Should be fun for individual day pass holders to hike back and forth before their day even starts. Hope it doesn't rain.

The majority of folks get their passes and whatnot at the Grandstand (which will move a huge bottleneck away from the BMO). There should be a "mobility challenged" wristband point somewhere around the Vic Park station and there are regular multiple shuttles from the Grandstand to the BMO/Big 4.
On top of all of that, if you have your wristband (went today and got it) and have an all weekend pass...you don't have to go back to the Grandstand. Unless you have a day pass for every day, you should only need to hit the Grandstand once. It seems to be set up pretty well this year.

So if one's going for one day only and taking a kid, what's the best way to do it? Last year we parked in the lot just across from the north train station and went across the bridge.
EDIT: Maybe park in the grounds near the grandstand? Or take the train in, get off at Erlton?

If you can get parking near the Grandstand, you'll need to start there. If you get off at Erlton, that works, too.
With a kid, depending on how old the kid is and how much walking they can handle, I might suggest parking near a ctrain station somewhere else, and taking the train to Erlton to start. You could then shuttle to the BMO/Big 4, and when you are done for the day, take the Vic Park ctrain to where ever your car is.

I agree with Whitetiger. I just picked up my wristband, and luckily there was no line. I understand the need to get the ticket pickup away from the front of the BMO centre. But I feel horrible for people with limited mobility. I've had to do something similar on crutches, and it is not fun. And there is no legal parking by the grandstand that isn't $15, which I am not paying to pick up tickets. So illegal parking it is.
But you literally walk from the front of the grandstand, all the way to the north, past some staff washrooms, loading bays, you think you might be going the wrong way, around the end of the building, nope don't go up the stairs, around the corner, and you are literally almost in the rodeo infield. No signs. Nothing. Then you can see the roped off lines. Get into the building, turn the corner, then pick up your wristband. And then walk out the front door. They should add some signs around the building, and not just have 1 volunteer at the front of the building.

Volunteers on a weekday are hard to come by.
I'll make a mention of the signage the next time I'm there.
