Default Weather conditions for past date?

I need to know if there was snow on the ground in a certain city on a certain date. Is there a website where I can enter the date and city and find out the weather conditions?

Environment Canada has historical weather on its site: http://www.climate.weatheroffice.gc..../canada_e.html

For Calgary, they have hourly weather data back to 1953.

This is one of the questions they teach you NOT to ask at time travel school.

I can see temps and such on that weather site, but not if there was snow on the ground. Is THAT info available?

This thread is giving me the heeby-jeebies - Thanks Photon, now I am pretty sure that:
  • OP's Username
  • PLUS
  • Specific historical data required
  • EQUALS
  • Time travel!

It says whether it was snowing on a particular date. Maybe look back a day or two before the date you want to know and see if it snowed then. Good chance there was still snow on the ground.

If you look at the daily chart, there is a header for snow on ground.

Example:

http://www.climate.weatheroffice.gc....Month=12&Day=7
