Default iPod Touch repair?

The headphone jack on my touch is kind of loose. Since I don't think it is a major fix I'm thinking of just getting it repaired.

What are my options? Apple? Any other places that can so it? Don't want to spend more than $40 or $50 to get it fixed.

It isn't broken but the left ear goes in and out a lot.

You're sure it's not your headphones that are the problem? I had one headphone recently cutting out on one side and bought new ones and the problem was solved.

How old is it?
If it's out of warranty then I'm pretty sure it'll be $169 to for Apple to fix it.
They pretty much have a flat fee for fixing anything, which I'm pretty sure means they just replace it with a refurbished one.

Theres quite a few do it yourself guides on youtube. You might be able to buy the part on ebay and fix it for a lot less than apple will charge. I plan on replacing the glass screen this way.

iphix is a great local service ... just a husband and wife duo that travel around calgary doing repairs like this on iDevices. I've used them for a battery in the past and they were awesome.

Unfortunately on their site it says a headphone jack replacement runs $80.
