Voicemail on telus iphone 4

Has anyone else been having issues with their voicemail and their iphone 4. For some reason my phone can't seem to stay set up for it. I call in and Telus fixes (resets) their side and then it seems to work only to drop it a few days later.

My friend at work had this issue too and it drives him nuts. But he is on rogers. Your talkinng about the voicemail that shows a list and who left them right?

Ive never had that work on my Iphone 4 since i bought it. I can still call and check messages but it doesn't show anything except the red dot under the voicemails tab.

I got off the phone with Telus...

The first time this happened they re-set up my voicemail on my plan which seemed to work. This time I had to go into the phone settings>general>reset>reset all settings....

once this was done, rebooting the phone, we tested it and it worked. The tech said you may have to do this every couple of weeks. Kind of a PITA...

I wasn't even getting the red dot... I would just call into my voicemail account every so often and there would be messages.

Yes,

When you get a message it is supposed to show up with a red circle and the number of new messages you have on the voicemail tab. Mine wouldn't have the red dot at all.

Tell your buddy to reset his phone and see if that works.... you'll have to reset your wallpaper etc. but at least the vmail will work.

are you talking regular voicemail or advanced voicemail?

I don't know.... I get a message and it comes up in the list as text... so maybe the advanced visual voicemail.

Visual Voicemail has been a problem for some time, and it's the iPhone, not the carrier by the way that so many different people have a problem with it.

I had this same problem until I upgraded to iOS 4.2.

Restoring the phone from your iTunes is suppose to fix it with 4.1, but just upgrade and see if that works.
