The Toronto Raptors are trading point guard Dennis Schroder and forward Thad Young to the Brooklyn Nets for Spencer Dinwiddie and Dennis Smith Jr., sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday.
Can decline the option to open up even more cap space this summer, or dangle him as trade bait again next summer.
On a personal level, I’m really glad Boucher is staying.
Why is that? The guy is suffering on the bench. He’s no a starter but perhaps it’s time for him to move on and try elsewhere. He’s clearly not on the coaches depth chart
I'm just a big fan of Boucher and his story, plus he's the last remaining part of that 2019 team. I don't think he would return much in a trade anyways and could more valuable to the team in a mentor role (especially with Thad gone), maybe he could be our Udonis.
I don't know why he hasn't gotten more minutes - I'd like to think it was because he was on the trade block, as it seems like every time he does play he adds much needed energy and has a positive effect on the game. I guess the optimist in me hopes he’ll get more chances and prove himself to Darko.

Yeah, it's an unfortunate thing about coaches having preferred guys. Probably not totally in isolation but consultation with Bobby and Masai as well, but the Raps would've been better letting him go for his own sake. It kills confidence so I'm not sure why they're nailing him to the bench. I agree with you. I guess I don't feel too badly considering he's making millions but still, like you said, he's a good story.
Nice stretch of games for the Raptors, and you can really see the possibility that they might thread the needle for a relatively quick rebuild. I've heard it said that the first few moves of a rebuild are the most important, and too many GMs make their first moves simply with a mindset of showing that they're committed to the rebuild, though that's easier to do when you're a new GM. Of course, short sample size and all. This is still almost certainly a lottery team this year, or at best a 9/10 play-in team, and probably similar next year.
Dick's shooting has been absolutely exceptional since coming back from his g-league stint, and one of the things I liked most from the first time I watched his college highlights is what a smart cutter and off-ball player he is, and now that the shooting is falling, the cutting becomes more effective. Olynyk is a really great veteran to have on the court with him, and those two plus Agbaji give the bench better shooting than they've had off the bench in ages.

Found this video fascinating. Any interview with Donaghy is always informative and seemingly truthful. Further reminder that the NBA is in the entertainment game.
Got a preview of the NBA's press release on this..
"The NBA takes the integrity of the sport very seriously. Players who are involved in manipulating elements of the game to benefit gamblers with inside knowledge must be made an example of so that we can protect the integrity of the game, as the integrity of the game is paramount to our fans....
