I keep a few items that I wouldn't mind buying if the price is right in my amazon baskets on both .ca and .com sites. The prices on practically all of them have been climbing up almost daily for the past few weeks. On Friday, these prices probably will go back to their normal pre-increase levels and advertised as a "huge Black Friday price drops". This marketing strategy would have been funny if it wasn't so cringe-worthy.

I had a Wyze Cam in my wishlist and it's been floating around the $30+ mark for a long time, it's all of the sudden at $45. I guess I should expect it to be on sale shortly.

anyone using an Amazon price tracking service? I haven't tried one yet but seems like camelcamelcamel and keepa are the first ones that come up in a search. I'd like to try one that has quick and reliable notifications but doesn't require me to install nasty plugins or give all my personal data/logins away.

Keepa works well for that. You don't need an account, it integrates into the Amazon page, and you can have it email you price drops, even without an account. You do need a browser extension though.

I tried it. The idea is good. The practicality of it is not. Amazon is a multi-source seller platform. Say, you wanna track a particular item. You have to click and pick a specific seller for this item, before you can track its price – from this seller only. So, unless this item is exclusive to this seller, the service is useless, as it doesn't include other sellers that could have better deals. Or, you could do it by selecting and tracking all active sellers selling this item. Plus, Amazon allows unscrupulous sellers to sell (e.g. when a $500 item is advertised for $5,000 waiting for people to make a mistake and buy it in one click with no return allowed etc.).
This service becomes meaningful when an item is sold directly by amazon.ca (or amazon.com). Then they are sourcing an item themselves from multiple sources and price history is more relevant.

I've used camelcamelcamel before and it worked fine, sent me a notice when the item I wanted dropped down below the price I'd specified. But yeah it was for something where I was only concerned about Amazon as the seller.

Just a heads up, that's the DUO, not the newer LUX. LUX has more safety features and a much better lid design.
On for $85-100 at Canadian Tire, depending on size.

I admit, I've had no idea what is an instapot. Had to google it.

It's a device for growing pot in an instant, isn't it? Otherwise it's a major marketing failure.

Imagine my disappointment! (don't google it at work, it'll ruin your day too...)

Also, does anyone know if I can move all my stuff to a oneplus and for all my text messages and hopefully call history to come along?

You read it correctly, he just had it incorrect in that Walmart is selling the LUX and no the DUO.

I now have a list of most of what I'm after. I am still missing a deal on a power bank that can charge an HP ultrabook through usb-c.

I thought I’d be able to avoid garbage American consumer culture by living in Europe, but I’ve been bombarded by Black Friday ads all week. They don’t even bother translating it to el viernes negro. It’s unavoidable!
