Apparently there was a big PS5 leak, and it will be released March or November 2020.
It'll be $500 USD.

The PS5 will still have a dual-shock controller, while embracing the VR headset (PSVR2). It'll have 60 fps. It will have Ryzen 8-core processors.

It better be fully backward compatability with PS4 since they're sticking with x86 architecture. If so then I'm glad I held off on upgrading to a PS4 Pro

The rumour is that it will be fully backwards compatible.

Yeah anyone who is bagging on BFV is nuts.

I've been playing for a little over a week (Origin Access lol) and it's the best Battlefield since BF3.

The game is much more squad and tactic focused than previous ones, and a lot of QoL systems have been re-jiggered and tweaked that make for a more fun experience.

- Excellent stable of maps to start (9), as well as 5(!) game modes, with a Battle Royale mode coming early next year
- Movement feels somewhere between BF 1 and BF 4, taking the best flow from each. Less clunky animations than 1 and less run and gun than 4
- Game just oozes personality
- Fjell 652 in the Norway campaign might just be the best blend of Conquest and Rush-style map design I've ever seen
- Shotguns are actually good
- Tanks are well balanced. Slow but fun, lots of good tank counters
- Medics have smoke grenade launchers which are incredibly helpful
- 3D tagging is gone for all classes except snipers, who can only now tag with binoculars (not sniper scope)
- No lootboxes
- DLC is free
- Gorgeous. Graphics optimization is amazing as well scaling across multiple systems (same as previous)
- Sound design is second to none (same as previous)

Seriously good, unless you're some kind of manbaby who cares about wimmins in his vidyagams.

Haha nope. I had some time off around the long weekend and saw that I could spend a good chunk of my freetime playing BFV early for $20 so I took it. I'll be dropping normal cash on the game later today when I get home, and then likely cancelling Access at the end of my 30 days.

Worth it imo. This one is real good.

Thanks for the input.. my fav game was enemy territory which was very team based.. it seems like they got the pacing right on this one, and a good blend of rewarding skill and team tactics

Oh I also forgot the Fortification Building mechanic.

So I assume in response to Fortnite and Minecraft and the like, DICE added a Fortification mechanic to BFV. It's a small addition, wherein you can take out a Tool (changes by context to a Hammer, Sandbag, etc.) and can earn points by building barriers, platforms, medical/ammo/tank stations, barbed wire, etc. at set placements around defensive points.

It sounds really small but it adds a whole new dimension to defensive play, and kind of scratches a weird itch.

Good article from Jason Schreier that kind of articles the corporate shift going on at Blizzard, with focus on Diablo: https://kotaku.com/the-past-present-...blo-1830593195

I don't know if it's old news, but the article reveals that:
- Diablo 3 had a second expansion that was canceled
- Blizzard was working on a spin-off Diablo game called Project Hades, which was a Diablo take on Dark Souls
- Diablo Immortal was originally going to be a China only release

Non-Diablo items:
- Blizzard is currently working on a Warcraft Battle Pets mobile game
- Blizzard is not working on any new IPs right now

To add on, when you play a grand operation it is truly grand. There is something about 32 v 32 that makes the game have such amazing "Only in Battlefield" moments.I have had tons of fun playing so far and that is with the worst set of weapons possible.

If you are a Battlefield fan, this is a must have.

Watched some gameplay last night. Does look quite good, may have to pull the trigger on that.

No Mans Sky is on sale for 50% off, figured I'd try that too.

I'm ashamed to say that I seem to have let all the trolls and neckbeards influence my interest on BF5. I never agreed with all the negative talk about the amputee female soldier etc but I think all the negativity made my hype meter overlook the game entirely. I'm glad you guys are enjoying it and I'm going to have a look at it.

That was 100% my point of view to but then I played the open beta and it changed my mind entirely

Dice listened to much of the fan feedback in regards to some of the outlandish customization and character elements, and have produced an end product that’s obviously still a bit crazy at times (it’s Battlefield), but overall is pretty faithful to the source inspiration. The uniform customization is great, and tows a great balance between offering some cool variety whilst still looking like reasonable WW2 garb.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread- I think Dice nailed it with BFV. The immersion and sound design is second-to-none, and the game does an uncanny job of making moment-to-moment gameplay almost seem like a set piece from a movie. The first update/content drop for the Tides of War lands on December 4th as well, so that’s sweet.
